Failure to do so will cause rejection of your proposal. This Addendum No. 1 forms part of the Invitation to Bid #6773 and shall supersede the original specifications of the above entitled Invitation to Bidd wherein it contradicts same. This Addendum provides clarification to the followingg specification as well as answers submitted questions: CLARIFICATION: Please note on Attachment A of the bid document the following correction. Specification # 4 currently states Furnish and install new punch block with metal back boards on the North wall to accommodate additional circuits. This has been changed to read as follows: Furnish and install new punch blocks with metal back boards on the SOUTH wall too accommodate additional circuits. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: Question 1: Does the awarded contractorr have to bee R56 certified to accomplish the work required by the project? Answer: No. The awarded contractor does not have to be R56 certified to accomplish the work required by the project. The County at its discretion has the option of bringing in an outside consultant to review and determine that the project meets the standards. A sample checklist of these standards is listed on Exhibit B of this Addendum. Question 2: For clarification, it is my understanding that SJCO would like BLDG 18(internally) too be brought up to R56 standards as much as possible. Is this the case? Answer: Yes. Question 3: Can you send me a copy of the sign-in sheet? Answer: Please seee attached Exhibit A of this Addendum. Question 4: Is the tower work phase 2 of this project? Page 1 of 12

2 Answer: There is no tower work included in this project scope. Question 5: The alarms will now be on the south end wall of the facility (what s the alarm configuration?) Answer: We are not making modifications to alarms within the building. Punch block panels are to be installed on the south end wall. Question 6: The racks are 19 (Will vertical and horizontal cable management be required?) Answer: Yes. Question 7: Can all existing AC drops be utilized or should our quote include new drops? Answer: All existing AC drops can be utilized, but if it is your recommendation to include new drops please include the cost within your bid. Question 8: Will the UPS existing battery backup be removed? Answer: No, the UPS battery backup will not be removed, Question 9: Is R56 standards certification required for radio work? Answer: No. The awarded contractor does not have to be R56 certified to accomplish the work required by the project. The County at its discretion has the option of bringing in an outside consultant to review and determine that the project meets the standards. Question 10: Will the County be providing any material? Answer: No, vendor is responsible for providing all materials. Question 11: What is the Engineer s estimate for this project?
