1 1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROJECT INFORMATION Welspun Energy Ltd. is executing 18MW + 18MW + 14MW Solar PV Power Project for Mahagenco in Maharashtra (Site Location: Shirsuphal, Baramati Taluka, District Pune, Maharashtra) on PPP basis. This specification covers the requirements of DC cable for 2 x 18MW Units as specified under different sections for the aforementioned project. 2.0 INTENT OF THE SPECIFICATION This Specification is intended cover the technical requirement for the supply of double insulated, cross linked DC cables for photovoltaic power applications. These cables are used to interconnect solar modules and connect combiner boxes to inverter 3.0 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT Manufacturer shall have in house electron beam cross link facility and shall have successfully supplied cable for Solar Power Plants for at least 50 MW capacity. The DC cable manufacturer shall have proven experience of having supplied successfully to SPV grid connect projects of at least 500MW cumulative capacity. 4.0 TECHNICAL PARAMETERS FOR DC CABLES All DC cables shall be unarmored sunlight resistive halogen free in accordance with IEC , Ozone resistance in accordance with EN Conductor shall be Electrolytic tinned copper Class 5, according to EN60228 or IEC Core insulation & outer sheath of the cable shall be as per XLPO (Electron beam cross linked polymer), fine wired in accordance to VDE 295 class5/iec class 5, rated voltage shall be 1100/1500V & maximum permissible operating voltage shall be 1800V DC. Normal Operating temperature range shall be -40 deg C to +90 deg C with maximum permissible operating temperature 120 deg C, maximum short circuit temperature shall be 280 deg C. DC test voltage 15kV, and type of insulation shall be according to IEC , EN DC Cable shall be weather/uv resistive according to the HD 650/A1, Acid /brine resistance as per EN , Flame resistance according to IEC Cable shall be rodent resistive. Guaranteed Technical Parameters duly signed and sealed by vendor/manufacturer and SPC. e. Authorized technical specification datasheet of the equipment published in public domain / website. f. Technical Experience and performance certificates as specified in this document from a competent authority/solar power project developer. g.
