4 3 Choose Your Options The WindStorm Collection doors incorporate reinforced hardware throughout the door for strength and stability. Depending on the door size, wind zone, and exposure category, the Overhead Door windload-rated system may be configured one of two ways. The first option uses horizontal bracing reinforcements installed on the door for added protection. The second option uses removable vertical posts* to reinforce and secure the garage door when hurricanes or threatening storms arise. The post system does not add permanent structural weight to the door, thereby allowing the garage door system to operate smoother and reduce wear and tear. Option 1: Overhead Door strut system Overhead Door's reinforcing post system is quick and easy to secure, and does not require tools. As high wind situations may develop unexpectedly, the reinforcement posts can be installed quickly-in only minutes-giving added protection to your family and property. Especially important when time is of the essence. Option 2: Overhead Door removable post system** * The removable post system requires the homeowner to put the system in place when preparing for an incoming storm. The homeowner then removes the post system after the storm has passed. ** Recommended on standard panel products only.
