Quotations appearing on the Proposal are to reflect the provisions of this Addendum. Failure to acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided on the response sheet may subject candidate to disqualification. RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS: 1. Question: Please confirm that all microphone cable is to be replaced. Response: Yes, all microphone cable is to be replaced. 1

2 2. Question: Please confirm which locations are to be in conduit or flexible metal conduit. Response: Any location that needs to be can be in flexible metal conduit as opposed to rigid as long as there is a continuous conductive shield around the AV system wiring. It is up to the discretion of the AV contractor. Wiring to individual speakers does not need to be in conduit. 3. Question: Add alternate AV-02 indicates remote control PC and remote control ipad. Are these devices and control software Owner furnished? Response: The City of Norwalk requires the contractor to provide the PC, ipad, and all programming and setup for remote control. Question: Is a new bid bond required if we have already bid this project? Response: Yes, a 10% bid bond is required with your bid response. 1

Question: Please confirm the location of the work for the Common Council Chambers is east of the Five Mile River in Norwalk and the prevailing wage rates for Electrician, including low voltage wiring are $35.10 per hour plus $22.26 in fringes. Response: Yes, the Common Council Chambers is located east of the Five Mile River in Norwalk. And no, the prevailing wage rates for Electrician, including low voltage wiring are $35.30 per hour plus $18.52 in benefits as of Wednesday, December 19, Question: Please confirm that the Blu-Ray Player shown in the lectern is Owner furnished equipment as it is not shown in the equipment list? Response: The awarded contractor is expected to provide a Blu-Ray Player with an allowance of $ for this project. 4. Question: I noticed that this project requires the use of prevailing wage, however I cannot locate a copy of the wage rate information within the RFP document posted on the City s website. Response: You are correct, the RFP document posted on the City s website contains two (2) copies of the technical specification information for this solicitation. One copy is posted within section two of the RFP solicitation document and the second copy was posted within section five of the RFP solicitation document. Section five should have included the required prevailing wage rate information. A copy of the prevailing wage information for section five of this RFP solicitation document is included as an attachment to this addendum document. (39 pages). End of Addendum #1 2
