1 STANDARD PLAN RELEASE SUMMARY(SPR) Physical Facilities Department Building Design: Release Date: Release Number: Fayette 0 February 008 FAY-0--[07]-0 Summarized below is a list of modifications made to the Standard Plans, which are applicable to the Building Design indicated. This list is not intended to be exhaustive or detailed in nature, but is a tool for Project Managers and their consultants to quickly identify the changes made since the last Standard Plan Update. The is intended to identify four levels of implementation for current projects in the late design phase or construction phase. Current projects in the planning phase or early design phase should incorporate all Changes where applicable. Level 1 - Essential Priority: Implement Change even if building is near Substantial Completion; Level - Important Priority: Implement Change even when Change may require minor additional cost - if Change will require significant additional cost or time, Change is left to PM's discretion; Level - Standard Priority: Implement Change at PM's sole discretion. Level - Low Priority: Implement Change as appropriate to phase of project. Change should not affect cost or schedule. 1 A Ridge Vent: Modified the ridge vent detail to include additional dimensions and to indicate the height of the deflector leg. Electric and Electronic Control System for HVAC: Added the following statement in paragraph 1..A.1.a: 'Before bidding, obtain sponsorship from a local, approved distributor.' Carpet: Updated specification section to allow for double seams at the doorways. This has been approved as a cost savings to cut down on the waste. Basketball equipment: Changed the backboard padding from the Fast Track type to bolt on type. Fire protection specialties: Changed the glazing in the fire extinguisher cabinets to clear acrylic glazing. Added requirement for 'Safe-T-Lock' tab. Electronic locking system: Removed Marlock from the specifications. No longer manufacturing the electronic locking system. Low profile wood flooring: Added the Connor Panel Cushion RD along with the Robbin's VLP Flooring System as the default wood flooring for the Fayette 170 & 0 capacity meetinghouses. Both systems are a low profile wood flooring and do not require the concrete slab to be recessed. Gas Furnace: Changed approved manufacturer to York. Removed all other manufacturers. Condensing Unit: Changed approved manufacturer to York. Removed all other manufacturers , Hangers and Supports: Added two approved equal manufacturers in addition to the listed quality standard manufacturer - Unistrut. 2 11 A101 Floor plan: Re-dimensioned the entire floor plan. 1 A101 Hymn book cabinet: Added a hymn book storage cabinet in rooms 11 & A101 Windows: Changed the two windows in room 11 to type 'B'. 1 A101 General Notes: Added to note 6 to insulate ceiling above rooms 19 for sound control. 15 A101, A10, Shear walls: Changed the front exterior wall at the chapel to run A10, A0, continuously through the steeple pop out area. Dimmer Cabinet: Added a detail for the dimmer cabinet located in 16 A101, A50 the cultural center. Reference detail E/A50. Coordinate size of cabinet with electrical. Framing: Added general note 1 on sheet A101 and note 16 on 17 sheet S101 to install a double base plate in the walls around the A101, A50, Cultural Center 16. Double base plate needed for anchoring of S101 the wood flooring system metal base. Updated detail D/A50. Coordinated with structural details. Visual Display boards: Added Serving 10 under visual display 18 A101, A601 board type V10. Deleted Serving 10 from under visual display board type V1. 19 A101, Structural sheets Corridor headers: Modified the span between openings in corridors 117 & 15 at the cabinets to reduce the spans. Added walls between the cabinets to provide additional support for beams. 0 A10, A10, A10 Wall types: Deleted wall types W69 and MW7. Added wall types W6, W80A, and MW80. Updated and coordinated the wall type callouts on A10 & 10 with the wall types on sheet A10. 1 A10, A50, S10 Mezzanine access plan: Added a step detail F/A50 where the mezzanine flooring steps up 1 inches at the chapel ceiling change in height. Reference the mezzanine framing plan S10. A11 A11, E101 5 A01, A0, A01, A0, A0, A0, A501, A60 A01, A0, A60 Light fixtures: Coordinated the number of pendant light fixtures in room 11 with those shown on the electrical lighting plan E101. Light Cove: Deleted the cove lights in room 11 & 19. Redesigned the lighting and added recessed compact fluorescent light fixtures. Concrete masonry wainscot: Deleted the concrete masonry unit wainscot. Changed to brick veneer. Identified the brick wainscot as 'Brick - Color A'. Brick above the wainscot identified as 'Brick - Color B'. Window types: Changed overall height of window type 'A' to 1'-" due to conflict with structure. 3 6 A01, A0, A60 Louvers: Updated all louver sizes and coordinated with the mechanical louver schedule. Reference sheet A60 and M60. 7 A01, A A0, G001, S01, S0, S0 A01, A0, A0, A0, A05 A01, A0, A0, A0, A51, A551 A01, A0, A0, A0, A5 A01, A A0 5 A501 Louver: Changed the size of the mechanical louver located in the center of the back elevation. Modified the center arch feature to accommodate the new louver size. Reference elevation detail /A01 and detail D/A60. Coordinated all louver sizes with the mechanical drawings. Steeple: Reduced the size of the base of the steeple to 8'-6" at the widest width. This will save costs in oversized shipping costs. Revised the steeple attachment details, coordinated with structural. Added sheets S0 & S0. Building sections: Coordinated all of the building sections with structural. Corrected detail references. Wood trim details: Coordinated the mounting height of the wood trim details in the chapel and cultural center. Added wood trim profile details 1 - on sheet A551 Soffits & Fascia: Revised all soffit & fascia details to assist in easier installation. Font: Added ceramic tile to the top of the curb at the front of font. Coordinated the location of the font floor drain with the plumbing sheets. Floor drain to be located within reach from the stairs on the Men's side of font. Identified the thickness of the tempered glass railing as 1/". Updated all of the glass railing system details for the font. Increased the thickness of the foundation wall located at the front of the font to 10" for increased support for the railing system. Rostrum wall: Revised the framing details at the organ loft. Removed the insulation at the wall between the chapel and the organ loft. Not needed. Mechanical enclosures: Added inch PVC weep holes at inches on center through the mechanical enclosure foundation walls for drainage. Reference detail A/A A501 Wood trim detail: Deleted detail S/A501. Not used in this project. 7 A5, A5, A5, A60, A60, G001 Exterior Insulation Finish System (EIFS): Corrected all details pertaining to the EIFS. Added sheets A5 & A5 with additional details. Added exterior gypsum board behind EIFS at all locations. Updated the Drawing Index on sheet G001 8 A601 Finish Schedule: Updated 9 A60 Door Frame types: Corrected dimensions on frame type to coordinate with the floor plan. 4 1 A60 All Plan sheets All structural sheets E10, E10, E01 5 E10 6 E01 Folding Partition Schedule: Added a schedule for the acoustical folding partitions. Separated from the door schedule. Plumbing walls: Added x furred out wall for plumbing at the plumbing fixtures in Women's 1 & x6 furred out wall for Men's 119. This is to avoid conflict with the plumbing and the shear wall footings. Structural Sheets: Extensive revisions to all sheets. Please discard all structural sheets and replace with updated sheets. Mechanical Equipment: Added provisions for the mechanical system changes and additions (equipment size changes, deletion of air compressor, and addition of ERVs). Attic light switch: Added note to locate the light switch at the bottom of the access ladder for the upper attic lighting. Single line diagram: Added note to include grounding to the satellite support pipe if a satellite system is provided in the project. 1 7 E0 Lighting fixture schedule: Updated and corrected the lighting fixture schedule. Sound system & satellite systems: Renumbered the sound 8 G001. E01, E0, system and satellite system sheets from T101, T10, T10 to E01, E0, G001 E0, E0 respectively. Updated the drawing index on sheet 9 F101 Furnishings floor plan: Changed all references from 'Mecho- Shades' to 'Roll Down Blinds'. 50 F01, F0 Rostrum Casework: Updated the rostrum railing drawings to coordinate with Fieldcrest millwork. Design of the sacrament table has been changed. Reduced the number of newel posts. 51 F01, F0 Signage plan: Corrected the identification lettering for the corridor cabinet signage. Coordinated the occupancy load numbers with the code plan. Indicated four pew mounted ADA signs on the floor plan and in the signage schedule. 5 F0 Signage schedule: Added a note indicating that the emergency 911 telephone sign will be provided to the FM group after the corridor telephone number is determined. FM group will mount this sign. 5 FD101 Fire Detection: Updated the fire detection and alarm system. FS101, Fire Sprinkler Drawings: Numerous update items on all sheets. 5 FS10, Deleted dry pipe system & replaced it with a glycol system. Documents placed in the T10 OPTIONS folder on the CD. 58 G00 Code Information sheet: Corrected code references in the Code Information table. 59 M101 Mechanical Plan: Cleaned up plan 60 M101 Notes: Changed most of the note descriptions and deleted some notes altogether. 61 M10 Mechanical Equipment Access Plan: Added Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERV). Cleaned up sheet. 77 P601 Plumbing Fixture Schedule: Added mixing valve Cabinet hardware: Added Hardware Resources as an approved manufacturer of hinges and drawer slides Asphalt Shingles: Updated GAF approved product names Keying Schedules: Added information for the Fayette 0 Keying schedules Under platform doors: Added Beacon Metals as an approved manufacturer of the under platform doors.
