3 Yield-optimized system solutions for flat roofs The PlanTec Universal system provides the long expected solution for low ballast installation of photovoltaic modules on large flat and industrial roofs. The PlanTec allows a space-saving and yieldoptimized system to be achieved. The system offers an aerodynamic, low ballast substructure which requires no roof penetration. Thanks to specially constructed air ducts, our patented design creates a downforce which keeps the PV plant secure on the roof even in stormy conditions. The PlanTec Universal is available in east/west orientation, south and parallel to the roof. Our system covers a wide range of roofs and provides outstanding general conditions. Inclinations of 10 east-west and 10 south prevent major soiling of the module surfaces. Using an east/west orientation, the solar radiation can reach all modules evenly, from sunrise to sunset (east, south, west). Framed thin-film and crystalline modules can be installed. LONG-AWAITED INNOVATION FOR INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS To this day, approx. 80 percent of Germany s industrial roofs were not suitable for the generation of solar electricity due to static problems. PlanTec Universal reduces the static load up to 50 percent which enables usage on industrial and commercial buildings. In the PlanTec Universal construction, aluminum and high-grade steel is installed taking the aerodynamic effects into consideration. This ensures maximum stability at ultra low-weight and protects against corrosion damage. 3
