ABOUT US The company Plastform Ltd. was founded in 1992, and its core activity is the production of styrofoam for thermal insulation in construction and production of styrofoam packaging used in industry and agriculture. In addition to these products, we also manufacture various decorative elements according to our customers preferences, as well as grossly and finely ground styrofoam and styrofoam granules for production of thermal mortar and light concrete. All products for thermal and acoustic insulation have been attested in Croatia and the European Union, as well as in our laboratory for factory quality control. In 2005, we also introduced the ISO 9001 quality management system. In 2006, we introduced the CE product labeling. Our company s secondary activity is sales of merchandise such as XPS, sandwich panels, waterproofing materials and basic materials for the production of facades. 85% of our products are sold in the domestic and 15% in the EU market. Owing to the new production facility and a 20-year experience of our management and technical staff in the field of EPS, which are supervised by the BVQI, an approved quality management system compliant with the ISO 9001:2008 and environmental protection system ISO 14001:2004, we can guarantee the highest quality of our products and services.

SAVINGS AND ECOLOGY The share of fossil fuel spent on heating and cooling of residential and working areas in the total quantity is not negligible. All until recently, no attention was paid to thermal insulation of residential and business premises due to low prices of fossil fuels and to the widespread opinion that their use does not have negative environmental impacts. Unfortunately, we are very well aware of climate change and greenhouse effect which is a result of excessive CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, which occurs due to the combustion of fossil fuels. The simplest way to reduce CO2 emissions is to reduce the amount of energy necessary for heating and cooling. This can also be achieved through thermal insulation of residential and business spaces. In such a way not only is it possible to reduce the amount of CO2 emissions, but also to save a small amount of energy consumed. EPS AND ECOLOGY Plastform Ltd. is the first company in Croatia to have received approval for mechanical recycling of EPS packaging. EPS is an elegant solution for thermal insulation. Why? First of all, because it is cheaper compared to other thermal insulation materials with improved thermal insulationproperties. EPS is not toxic because it does not contain hydrocarbons substituted by halogen elements (such as fluorine and chlorine). Its use saves much more energy than is necessary for its production. The use of EEPS as thermal insulation has a direct impact on the amount of energy necessary for heating and cooling of various spaces. In other words, better insulation reduces the consumption of fuel required for their heating and cooling. We can say that by using EPS as thermal insulation, we indirectly reduce CO2 emissions in the environment, and thus save money and PROTECT THE NATURE. EPS is a 100% recyclable material. EPS does not rot, create mould, promote the growth of microorganisms nor crumble. Plastform Ltd. is the first company in Croatia to have received approval for mechanical recycling of EPS packaging. Therefore, if in your place of living there are EPS collection and recycling centers, please do not throw EPS in places not provided for that purpose, but help us achieve our common goal - preserving THE ENVIRONMENT WE HAVE IN COMMON. It is therefore legitimate to say that EPS (styrofoam ) does not have negative impacts on the environment. On the contrary, due to its primary purpose in construction, which is to save energy, and the possibility of its easy recycling, it is one of the most important factors of environmental protection.

FLAT ROOF inclined towards roof tlets Specially tailored PLASTOPOR EPS panels inclined in water drainage direction solve the problem the problem of ponding water on the roof. XPS Extruded polystyrene Extruded polystyrene panels have high thermal insulation properties, low or practically negligible water absorption (insulation of basements), dimensional stability and great compressive strength ( kpa and more). Due to a high compressive strength, they are also suitable to be installed in floors of industrial, commercial and warehouse halls. EXTERNAL WALLS PLASTOPOR EPS F with and without flaps, expanded polystyrene The most economical thermal insulation of external walls for use in external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS). PLASTOPOR EPS and PLASTOPOR F 100 panels have a high dimensional stability and are completely stable and hardly flammable according to HRN DIN 4102, class B1 or HRN EN , EUROCLASS E. After 40 years of use and introduction of new materials at all levels of the system and practical check-ups of the manner and details of installation, its long-term durability and efficiency can be guaranteed.

FLAT ROOF/BALCONY On a flat roof, we recommend to install thermal insulation material PLASTOPOR EPS 150 and EPS 200 PLASTOPOR due to its high resistance to pressure, long-lasting resistance to high temperature, low thermal conductivity and lower water absorption. The choice of PLASTOPOR EPS depends on the purpose of the roof (walkable, non walkable or green roofs). Expanded polystyrene (EPS styrofoam) is the insulation material that has been mostly installed into flat and pitched roofs FLOOR ON THE GROUND Depending on the load/purpose of the foundation, we recommend the installation of thermal insulation material PLASTOPOR EPS 100 (housing), PLASTOPOR EPS 150 and PLASTOPOR EPS 200 (public institutions buildings, manufacturing, etc.). FLOOR BETWEEN FLOORS In order to prevent the spreading of sound between floors (sounds of footsteps, children playing etc.), we recommend installation of PLASTOPOR EPS T specially pressed to achieve lower values of dynamic stiffness or increased elasticity. In addition to acoustic insulation PLATOPOR EPS T, it is also necessary to install PLASTOPOR EPS 100 in order to provide thermal insulation and compressive strength (pressure at the surface).

INSULATION Plastopor styrofoam is produced using the newest vacuum technology, therefore their quality entirely meets both the Croatian (HRN EN 13163) and European standards (EN 13163).
