1 DESCRIPTION LIGHTLOCKS Fire Rated rchitectural Resins [FR] offer architects and designers more creative freedom to transform space in a variety of venues where fire rated materials are required for finish surfaces and decorative elements. Wall coverings, wall panels and wall partitions, as well as ceiling elements, can be luminous, colorful and exciting finishes for a wide variety of interior designs. 2 PPLICTIONS Vertical thermoplastic resin for s: Full height sheets or cut to size and shape, up to 12 (3.65m) high x 5 (1.5m) wide. Use in corridors, entryways, concourses, classrooms, patient rooms, commercial buildings, stairwells, elevator cabs and anywhere a durable full height or wainscoting fi re rated Class or wall covering is required. Fasten to wall substrate with adhesive, mechanical fasteners or frames. Vertical thermoplastic resin for s: Full height assembled sheets or cut to size and shape, consisting of thermoplastic resin sheet laminated to FR MDF, up to 12 (3.65m) high x 5 (1.5m) wide. Use in corridors, entryways, concourses, classrooms, patient rooms, commercial buildings, stairwells and anywhere a durable full height or wainscoting fi re rated Class wall panel is required. Fasten to wall with mechanical fasteners, frames, wall cleats or Z clips. Vertical or horizontal thermoplastic resin for Partitions: Cut to size or shape sheets up to 12 (3.65m) long x 5 (1.5m) wide. Use in corridors, entryways, concourses, classrooms, patient rooms, commercial buildings, elevator cabs and anywhere a durable fi re rated Class or translucent partition or accent panel is required. Install with mechanical fasteners or frames. MTERILS Surface Finish: Durable matte fi nish with fi ngerprint, stain and scratch resistant fi nish, easily repairable and 100% renewable. Opaque Panels: and polycarbonate and acrylic materials colored on second surface (back) with durable color coating or color coating plus fi re retardant. Fully assembled s consist of acrylic layer with color coatings applied to second surface (back). crylic layer laminated to 1/2 (12mm) fi re rated MDF, with sheet adhesive transfer tape and fi re retardant back coating. Translucent Panels: Partition panels (, PETG or crylic) in 1/2 (12mm) thickness with color coating applied to second surface (back) and protected with clear coating. COLORS vailable in standard Palette colors, including a range of neutrals, pastels, muted, and brights or custom color match to Pantone, Designer colors, Paint Chip, RL, Fabric, or any other custom color sample. FIRE RTING DT rchitectural Resins used for building interior fi nishes for walls and ceilings fall under the IC Code Chapter 8, Section 803 or the NFP 101 Life Safety Code Chapter 10, Section The test proscribed for materials used in these applications is the STM E84 test or in some instances the results from the NFP 286 test may be substituted where allowed. The only test that bestows and actual rating (Class, or C) is the STM E84 test. The determination of what Class rating is required for various locations and uses throughout a building interior is based on the chart provided in the IC Code Chapter 8, Table This chart cross-references building type with room type for both sprinklered and non-sprinklered buildings. While both the IC Code and the NFP 101 Code are generally accepted code guidelines across the United States and in many other countries all code enforcement is managed by local fi re inspection engineers and building inspection offi cials. When selecting building interior fi nishes one should always confi rm the applicable local codes for annotation or modifi cations to the IC or NFP Codes. s the STM E84 test is a material only test the material tested must be in its fi nished production state. Each iteration of the text material based on material properties, thickness and assembly components must be tested individually for the rating to apply. Variations of a material for size and component assembly do not confi rm one rating for the material onto a different iteration of the same base material. The NFP 286 test is a material and assembly test that requires the method of installation to be included in the test parameters and the product is to only be installed per this criteria. ll LIGHTLOCKS [FR] products are tested against the STM E84 test and are rated products tested in their fi nished production confi guration. Independent lab test reports are available for review. 3
