Quotations appearing on the Proposal are to reflect the provisions of this Addendum. Failure to acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided on the response sheet may subject candidate to disqualification. RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS: 1. Question: Section 2.03C1.q ARC Controller part # ARC-SWK has been discontinued. Will (1) RC-K1e and (1) ARC-EZ4e be an acceptable substitute?? Response: Yes, the ARC-EX4e and ARC-K1e replace the functionality of the ARC- SWK perfectly. 1

2 2. Question: Can a list of equipment, with make and model numbers, that is to be reused in this installation be provided to the bidders? Response: Norwalk Council Chambers: The gooseneck microphones are being reused as well as the podium microphone, which are Audio Technica AT857QM s and a Shure SM58. The rack is also being re-used, as well as most of the video equipment if the HD video alternate is not picked up. 3. Question: Can a drawing/photo of the lectern to be reused be provided? Response: See Exhibit II on Page 4 of this addendum. 4. Question: Drawing AV400 detail 6 indicates mounting a new microphone, gooseneck with shockmount to top of the lectern, but the specification equipment list does not reference the microphones that are to be provide. Please clarify. Response: The microphone will be a SM58 that is being re-used, it needs a shock mount for podium vibration. 5. Question: Can you please provide a drawing of the Norwalk Council Chambers? Response: See Exhibit I on Page 3 of this addendum. NOTE: The drawing is to the following scale: 1/8 =

Question: What is the estimated value for the referenced project? Response: Refer to Page 44, Section 2 - PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS, AUDIO VISUAL EQUIPMENT SUPPLIED & INSTALLED COMMON COUNCIL CHAMBERS, 3.) Install the supplied audio visual equipment as per these specifications. 1

6 2. Question: Will the City of Norwalk consider a solution using different hardware than what you have specified? Response: No substitutes for this equipment will be accepted. Bid products exactly as listed within the specifications of this project. No as equal products will be considered for award. 3. Question: Was the September 20, 2012 Pre-bid Conference mandatory for firms to attend in order to submit a proposal and be considered for the award? Response: No, the September 20, 2012 Pre-bid Conference mandatory was not a mandatory requirement for this project. 4. Question: Where you looking for our pre-qualifications no later than September 30 th or should those be submitted with the rest of the bid? Response: Pre-qualifications will be accepted with 2:00 PM, October 9, 2012proposal submissions 5. Question: Can the City of Norwalk provide estimates of electrical load requirements Response: The total power load of the AV gear won t exceed 2000 Watts, or about 18 amps. If split it over 3 or 4 breakers, I believe we should do just fine 6. Question: Will building permits fees be waived for this project? Response: No, the awarded firm will be responsible to acquire and pay all building permit fees. Question: Does the City intend to hire an electrician to install the electrical outlets required for the installation of the television monitors, cameras, control panel, related accessories, and electrical connections to the power panel? Response: Yes, the City intends to hire an electrician to install the electrical outlets required for this project. However, the successful bidder shall be solely responsible to provide the electrical outlet and other electrical connection requirements to the electrician and to coordinate the process to ensure a timely installation process. 2
