2 About ICE Retrofit Solutions for Non-Domestic Buildings 2012 Retrofit Solutions for Non-Domestic Buildings 2012: Sustainable Renovation of Britain s Business Sector Approximately 45% of the UK s carbon emissions come from the built environment, including 20% from non-domestic buildings. Estimates are that 80% of the buildings that will be standing in 2050 have already been built. To achieve the Government s commitment to reduce carbon emissions by 80% by 2050, the need to improve the sustainability of our buildings is undeniable. ICE Retrofit Solutions for Non-Domestic Buildings 2012 will bring together the retrofit supply chain to address the challenges associated with retrofitting the buildings in which we work. The conference will deliver case studies of successful retrofit schemes, detailing sources of finance, procurement methods, the physical installations and the engagement with buildings users to ensure that the measures are correctly used. An expert panel will discuss the merits and appropriate applications of Ska and BREEAM while the Committee on Climate Change present details of the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme. Building owners will outline the support they require from the retrofit supply chain to undertake retrofitting on a sufficient scale to meet the Government s targets and how economies of scale affect the way that this work is approached. Who should attend The conference will bring together senior decision makers from across the supply chain of non-domestic retrofit; including contractors, consultants and those providing the technology, materials and processes driving innovation in the sector. These will include chief executives, managing directors and directors and heads of: Engineering Sustainable Development Construction Carbon Management Programme Delivery Supply Chain Facilities Management Building Services Why attend? Delegates at ICE Retrofit Solutions for Non-Domestic Buildings 2012 will: Understand from end users, including Marks & Spencer, TfL and Land Securities PLC, what they need from the supply chain Improve their understanding of BREEAM and Ska and the appropriate applications of each through discussion with BRE and RICS Gain a better understanding of the UK Climate Change Act and CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme from the Committee on Climate Change Understand the importance of modifying occupants behaviour as well as the fabric of the building Grow their business by making new connections with senior decision makers from across the construction industry Roundtable discussions Shape the discussion Meet your peers Tailor your agenda Input your thoughts and ideas Share your experiences Feedback to the room
