Price should be quoted for per kilogram of Quick Lime powder on site delivery basis including all cost. 250 tones (Approx) % composition (content) of hydrated lime powder as Ca (OH)2 minimum 80 % in double layered poly woven bags with inner lining or thick paper bags in 50 Kg packing. The tender forms are available for Rs. 500/- from KITCO site office, CSEZ Kakkanad on all working days from 26/12/2011 to 3/1/2012 between 10 am to 4 pm except on Saturday between 10 am to 1 pm. Sealed Tenders are invited on behalf of Chairman, CSEZ Authority, Kakkanad for the supply of Hydrated Lime powder on delivery at site basis in double layered poly woven bags with inner lining or thick paper bags in 50 Kg packing for Common Effluent Treatment Plant and water treatment plant, at CSEZ, Kakkanad. The estimated requirement of Lime powder per month is around 25 tones. The Specification of Lime powder is as follows: The lime content as Calcium hydroxide, Ca(OH) 2 minimum 80 % 2. The Supplier shall submit the test report and weigh bridge receipt of approved weigh bridge for Lime powder along with the supply of each consignment at the office of KITCO Ltd at CETP, CSEZ. However, if the material supplied does not meet the specification on testing at CETP lab or at any other Govt. approved lab upon delivery, the lot will be rejected or payment will be made only on a pro- rata basis according to the percentage of lime content as Ca(OH) The Tender shall be submitted in the prescribed format 4. The price quoted for supply of Hydrated Lime powder shall be valid for one year. This period shall be reckoned from the date on which the Managing Director, KITCO issues written orders to commence the supply of Lime. No escalation in price quoted shall be entertained during this period due to any reason whatsoever. 5. Not more than one tender shall be submitted by a supplier. More than one concern in which an individual is interested as Proprietor and/or Partner shall not submit tender for the supply. If anybody does so, all such tenders shall be liable to be rejected. 6. Tenderers are advised to inspect and examine the site and its surroundings and satisfy themselves before submitting their tenders, if so desired. They themselves shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances, which may influence or affect their tender. A tenderer shall be deemed to have full 2

3 knowledge of the site and site conditions, whether he inspects it or not and no extra charges consequent on any misunderstanding or otherwise shall be allowed. 7. Submission of a tender by a tenderer implies that he has read this notice and all other contract documents and has made himself aware of the scope and specifications of supply of lime and local conditions and other factors having bearing on the execution of the works. 8. The tender shall be received by the Accepting Authority up to 3.00 p.m on and shall be opened on the same day at 3.30 p.m in the presence of tenderers who may be present at KITCO Site Office, Administration Building, CSEZ, Kakkanad. 9. Tender shall be submitted in sealed covers, superscribing the name of work, address of Accepting Authority and the address of the tenderer. All tender papers should be signed. 10. Notification of award of contract will be made in writing to the successful Bidder by the Accepting Authority. The contract will normally be awarded to qualified and responsive Bidder offering the lowest evaluated bid. The Accepting Authority shall be the sole judge in this regard. The Accepting Authority does not bind himself to accept the lowest or any tender or to give any reason for his decision. 11. A responsive bidder is one who submits priced tender and accepts all terms and conditions of the specifications and tender documents without any modifications. 12. A modification is one, which affects, in any way, the quality, quantity and period of supply or which limits in any way the responsibilities or liabilities of the Bidder or any right of KITCO/CSEZ as specified in tender documents. Any modification in the terms and conditions of the tender, which is not acceptable to KITCO, shall be treated as a major modification. 13. A tenderer shall submit a responsive bid, failing which his tender will be liable to be rejected. 14. Canvassing in any form is strictly prohibited and tenders submitted by the tenderers who resort to canvassing will be liable for rejection. 3

On acceptance of the tender, the name of the accredited representative(s) of the supplier who would be responsible for taking instructions shall be communicated to the Managing Director, KITCO. 16. Sales Tax or any other taxes or statutory levies, loading unloading charges applicable to this contract shall be payable by the contractor and KITCO will not entertain any claim, whatsoever in this respect. 17. This notice inviting tender shall form part of the contract document. 18. The successful tenderer should deposit an amount of Rs. 25, as security deposit which can be made in the form of DD drawn in favor of CSEZ authority Fund (IWMS) payable at Ernakulam from a Nationalized Bank and the same will be retained for the contract period of one year. EMD shall be released only on furnishing the Security Deposit. If the supplier fails to deliver the material within 5 days on informing the requirement by KITCO, the security deposit shall be forfeited and the material shall be procured from an alternate source at his risk and cost 4
