4 AQUALINE RC series: 1 2 s = thickness determined by EN x,y = thickness of the individual wall layers with a total thickness given by EN , x + y = s (x : y = 90 : 10) t = thickness of the protective coating over the standard dimensions (e.g. AQUALINE RC ROBUST wall thickness = s mm) Note: Pipes intended for pressure sewer systems are colour-coded in brown.

5 Advantages of RC1 a RC2 1 Replaces the superpipe series AQUALINE RC1 (Type 1) - mono layer homogeneous black pipe with blue identification strips (dyed-through strip). The pipe is made of PE 100 RC in its full wall cross-section. It is suitable for open trenches without a sand-bed (possibility of point load) and less demanding trenchless installation methods). Product range: SDR 17 - DN 63-DN 400mm SDR 11 - DN 32-DN 400mm SDR 7,4 - DN 32-DN 400mm Product code starts with RC1-xxxxxx (e.g. RC /100) sandless installation in trenches suitable for delicate trenchless technologies reduced risk of failure of damaged pipes improved weldability without the necessity of protection cable 2 Replaces the Supertwin series AQUALINE RC2 (Type 2) - two-layer coextruded pipe with a black inner layer (90% of the wall thickness of black PE 100 RC) and a blue outer layer (10% of the wall thickness of blue PE 100 RC), which indicates excessive damage to the wall. External damage over 10% is clearly visible and the pipe itself indicates the extent of the damage. It does not have a higher overall thickness than the RC1 type and, except damage detection, it has no other technical advantages compared to type 1. 6 Replaces the ROBUST SUPERpipe series. AQUALINE RC ROBUST (Type 3) Pipe according to EN of PE 100 RC, with additional protective layer / coat with a thickness of approximately 1.6 mm with identification stripes. The coat is made from modified polyethylene (PEpro): its properties fully replace polypropylene it has a very smooth surface with a high resistance to scratching this allows for easier handling, particularly in the coils and in forming the arches on the installation route it is fully recyclable without the necessity of separation, whereby the environmental advantage of Aqualine piping is further improved Benefits of AQUALINE RC ROBUST use in trenches without grain size limitation use for all kinds of trenchless technologies easy to detect Aqualine RC ROBUST is deliverable with an integrated detection wire.
