1 DHUKWAN SHEP (24 MW) (UNDER CONSTRUCTION ON RIVER BETWA IN BABINA, DISTT. JHANSI, UP) Dhukwan HEP is being constructed at the toe of existing Dhukwan masonry cum earthen dam across Betwa river. The 8.22 M high existing dam is 2972 M long of which 1172 M length is constructed in masonry/lime concrete while the remaining 1800 M length is made of earthen. The masonry part of the dam is fitted with 383 no. of gates 8 feet high, capable to pass a discharge of Cumecs. Annual Energy Generation shall be MU at 46.53% load factor (as per availability of water). 1.0 PROJECT APPROVALS: SL. Gazette Notification for 39 Ha. forest land was issued 10 5 th Dec-16 PPA signed with UPPCL th Mar-17 THDCIL Board in its 185 th meeting approved RCE amounting to ` Cr including IDC of ` Cr at Jul-16 PL th May-17 MOU for transmission system signed with UPPTCL th May-17 Connection Agreement signed with UPPTCL 2.0 MAJOR WORKS TO BE EXECUTED: Approach Channel approx. 502 M long, 4 no. RCC Barrels, Intake works, HRC approx M long, Forebay, Spillway with spill channels, Surface Power House (64x24x37m), TRC approx. 919 M long, Cross Drainage Works and Switchyard. 3.0 INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS: All Infrastructure works for Type-II Quarters, Office building and Field Hostel/Guest House are complete and started functioning. 4.0 Progress of Works against Contract Value: Sl. Structure wise progress of Civil works is enclosed at Exhibit-VII. HYDRO- MECHANICAL WORKS : I. HRC Barrel Gate: Erection & Commissioning of Barrel gate in all 04 nos. barrel has been completed. II. III. Automatic Tilting Gate: Erection of 1 st stage embedment has been completed. Erection of 2 nd stage embedment is in progress. Erection of Base plates for counter weights in both bays has been completed. Power Intake Structure: Erection & Commissioning of Power Intake Gates in all 03 units have been completed. Erection of 2 nd stage embedment of Trash Rack has been completed in Unit 1 & 2 and in Unit-3 is in progress. IV. Erection of Penstock Steel Liners Erection of Penstock in all 03 units has been completed, while erection of additional length of Penstock in Unit-1 is in progress. v. Fixing of 1 st Stage embedment in Draft Tube Gates in Unit 1& 2 completed and in unit-3 is in progress. Note: All HM Equipment supplies except Trash Rack winch have been completed. ELECTRO- MECHANICAL WORKS : Power House: 1) Laying of Earthmat in Power House area has been completed and raising of risers along with the civil works is under progress. 2) Erection of DT elbow liner in all 03 Units including alignment has been completed. The fixing of Cooling water, Dewatering & Drainage pipes in MIV area & DT area have also been completed. 3) Erection & commissioning of EOT rail upto Unit-2 has been completed. 4) Erection of DT Cone including upper cone & Runner Chamber in Unit-1 completed and erection of Stay ring is in progress. 5) Erection of DT Cone in Unit-2 completed. Fixing of pedestal plates for Stay ring/spiral case/runner Chamber is in progress. 30

3 Switchyard: 1) Laying of earthmat at Switchyard area (Bay-4, 5 & 6) has been completed (except batching plant area, Bay-1, 2 & 3 and same shall be taken up after removal of batching plant). Control Room area handed over to Civil on for Building works. Fixing and alignment of Gantry structure foundation is under progress with civil works. A sum of Rs lacs has been deposited against land for compensatory afforestation. After availability of above land, IInd stage clearance of the 1.39 Ha. forest land required for laying of transmission line shall be granted by regional office of MoEF. 6.0 Commissioning Schedule: The Project was scheduled to be commissioned by Feb However, delay in submission of EM Design & Drawing by EM Contractor and finalization of the same affected supply of EM equipment and Civil works of Power House, resulting delay in availability of EOT crane in Unit Area. Scarcity of sand has also affected the schedule. Based on present outlook, the project is expected to be commissioned by Mar EXPENDITURE ON THE PROJECT: Expenditure incurred by the corporation on Dhukwan HEP till Jun 18 is ` Cr (62%) out of approved cost of ` Cr including IDC of ` Cr at Jul-16 PL. 8.0 BUDGET ESTIMATE v/s EXPENDITURE During Jun 18, an expenditure of ` 5.42 Cr. has been incurred on Dhukwan HEP against budget estimate provision of ` 8.27 Cr. 31

Excavation of Switchyard including trenches, foundations, Control Block etc. completed (except Batching Plant Area) and site have been handed over to EM for further EM works.
