Operating nationwide, we are an independent and recognised authority on all matters regarding the Building Regulations, providing a comprehensive service to assess compliance for our clients projects. 3 The Stroma Building Control service As a CICAIR approved independent third party, we assess plans and building work against the requirements of the Building Regulations as set out in the Government s Approved Documents and other relevant design standards. As with all building work, the owner and occupier of the property or land are ultimately responsible for satisfying the Building Regulations. However, a Building Control body, such as Stroma Building Control, can support you in achieving compliance with these requirements. We proactively engage with clients at an early stage, including working closely with local fire authorities and other statutory bodies to identify and resolve risks and issues of non-compliance from the outset. Our tailored service supports you from design through to completion to enable high standards of compliance, sustainability and quality as well as ensuring your projects run efficiently and cost effectively. Our services include, but are not limited to: Free Preliminary Advice and Support Initial Notice Submission Plan Checking Structural Appraisal Site Inspections Final Certificate The majority of building work requires Building Regulation approval.
