1 January 2017 Project Update Overall Referendum Project Status: ON SCHEDULE/ON BUDGET All elements of the project completed to date have been completed on or ahead of schedule and final costs were under the anticipated budget and contingency totals. All referendum work at Deerfield High School has been completed, including the new pool and gymnasium, library, elevator addition, and interior renovations. At Highland Park, the remaining work at the pool addition is underway. The gymnasium addition, C Building addition and all renovations in A and B Building have been completed. All Referendum work is anticipated to be completed by March, 2017 as scheduled. The current estimate for all projects indicates the overall cost of the project is on budget at $114 million (the $89 million referendum amount plus $25 million in District contributions), with $754,190 remaining in unallocated funds. Approximately $6.43 million in facility improvements and life safety costs for work outside the referendum are being completed; funding is being provided through other District funds. Design Status: The design for all projects is complete. Construction Work Completed: Deerfield High School Summer 2014 Renovations o The Q-Hall and partial E-hall renovations are complete. Site Utilities and Site Improvements o All sitework including underground utilities and reconfiguration of the parking lots, relocated tennis courts and relocated discus and shot put facilities is complete. PE Additions o The new gymnasium and pool additions are complete. Phase 2 o The cafeteria/commons renovation is complete. o The library renovation is complete. o The main entrance elevator addition is complete. o The renovation work in D, E, F, G, I and J Hall is complete. Bleacher Replacement o The Adams field home bleachers replacement and concessions building project is complete. Technology Cabling o Technology cabling installation is complete. Life Safety o The HVAC work for the IM and Exhibition Gym is complete. Highland Park Summer 2014 Renovations o The 3 rd Floor Building A renovations are complete.

2 Site Utilities and Site Improvements o All sitework associated with the gym and pool addition is complete. o The St. Johns & Woodpath crosswalk signal is complete. o The Vine Ave. parking lot work is complete. PE Additions o The new gymnasium addition and locker room renovations are complete. o At the HPHS pool addition ceramic tile installation on the pool deck and in the pool tank has been completed. The plaster work inside the pool tank has been completed and the pool has been filled with water. The flooring work in the dance studio, yoga room and the hallways is complete. The punchlist walkthrough was completed with the Architect and the completion of punchlist items is in progress. Phase 2 o All Referendum work has been completed. o The C Building Addition is complete. o Building A and B Building renovations are complete. o The technology cabling installation at the 3 rd Floor of A-Hall, 2 nd Floor of A-Hall, and H- Hall and library are complete. o The life safety project masonry repairs and HVAC work for the 3 rd floor A building west is complete. Work In Progress/Upcoming Work: Deerfield Life Safety Improvements o The remaining life safety improvements will be completed during breaks and during summer Highland Park Sitework o The landscaping and tennis court work will begin in spring PE Additions o The punchlist work is in progress and is anticipated to be completed by middle of February. The final walkthroughs with Illinois Department of Public Health and Regional Office of Education are scheduled in February. The pool is schedule to be turned over to the School before March. Phase 2 o The technology cabling upgrades work is scheduled to be complete in March. The work in the E and G wing are in progress. o Life Safety Improvements The remaining life safety improvements will be completed during breaks and over summer Potential Neighborhood Impacts/Notices: Deerfield High School The construction deliveries and trucking throughout the campus has been significantly reduced now that the construction is substantially complete.

3 Highland Park High School The work onsite will require material and equipment deliveries during the day, which will increase traffic at the north of the campus. The deliveries will continue at the north entrance off St. Johns for the construction work in the pool. Logistics Plan for this current phase work: Construction areas and access to the sites are being maintained in accordance with the attached plans. Attached is the plan for winter at Highland Park. There is not a logistics plan for Deerfield since construction is substantially complete, however, there will continue to be life safety work completed at Deerfield at times when it does not impact school activities.
