3 Polymer concrete the material of which our channels are made Compared to normal concrete, polymer concrete is an impervious material with few pores, characterised by its extreme stability and its low weight. Consisting predominantly of natural, mineral raw materials such as quartz, basalt and granite and bonded by a resin mixture, it forms the basis for the extensive MEA range or channels. That s why, when it comes to the tricky interfaces of a drainage system, we offer a comprehensive range of accessories that includes a suitable connection piece for every construction eventuality. Take the silt box (illustrated top left) for example. It accepts the precise width of the channel and employs a galvanized sediment bucket to effectively protect underground storm water pipes against blockages. The counter piece to this system is the gully (illustrated top right). End caps with and without connectors (illustrated top middle) as well as flow direction reversers (not shown) that help to ensure the even utilisation of silt boxes on long channel runs completes the range of accessories. And it s so easy: Lay the grating into the channel body press in finished. The grating secures itself independently through its 4-point spring steel locking. And for removal? The professional simply reaches for a screwdriver and levers the grating out. MEADRAIN PROFIX has no moving parts and guarantees long-lasting functionality, even under extreme conditions. The grating has been designed to snap securely into the edge of the channel. In addition, four protruding lugs serve to prevent any longitudinal displacement of the grating. When fitted with this securing system, all ductile iron gratings for MEADRAIN Supreme are suitable for heavy load applications to loading class F 900. MEADRAIN CLIPFIX Special hollows in the channel frame are the secret of MEADRAIN CLIPFIX. The grating snaps into these hollows, positions itself automatically and removes to provide an entirely unobstructed channel cross section for simple cleaning. The gratings for MEADRAIN Supreme with galvanized and stainless steel edges benefit from this locking system. 7

8 The unique solution for special cases: MEADRAIN Solution Out-of-the-ordinary installation situations repeatedly provide contractors and planners with challenges that demand special solutions. Such as the MEADRAIN Solution. Because our flat channel range for special applications provides overall heights of 50, 60, 80 and 100 mm as standard, depending on the nominal width. A choice of channels either with an integrated galvanized or stainless steel edge exists for loading classes A 15 to C 250. For heavy load applications (loading classes D 400 to F 900), MEADRAIN Solution also offers channels with an integrated cast iron edge and a watertight groove between channel bodies. For car parks, we have also developed an innovative solution with a comb profile that can be walked on, driven on and used safely with wheelchairs. It s special feature: thanks to its comb profile made from polymer concrete the MEADRAIN Solution car park channel requires no additional covering. Designed with a tongue and groove system for fast, precise installation, MEAGARD II is available as MEAGARD II S (galvanized grating) and MEAGARD II G (slotted ductile iron grating). Able to withstand the load of cars, these channels with a clear width of 100 mm and an overall height of 110 mm with galvanized grating and 115 mm with ductile iron grating, also only require minimal excavation work.
