2 Low Emission Low Toxicity Adhesive Sealant FORMCEAL 3000X WATERPROOFING SYSTEM FORMCEAL 3000X IS A SELF-ADHESIVE BITUMINOUS MEMBRANE OBTAINED BY THE HOT LAMINATION OF A MODIFIED BITUMEN COMPOUND WITH A CROSS LAMINATED HIGH- DENSITY POLYETHYLENE FILM (HDPE). ASTM C Formceal 3000X exhibits a self sealing action if it is punctured by nails or accidentally cut, the membrane will re-seal on contact and maintaining water tight. Formceal 3000X ideal for application in areas SUBSTRATE PREPARATION Make sure that the substrate is clean, dry and free of dirt, oil etc. SUBSTRATE APPLICATION Prime the substrate with Formceal Primer or a suitable bituminous primer by brush or roller at 4m 2 /l and allow to dry. Unroll membrane. Ensure that there is an overlap of 100mm at the ends and 60 mm at the sides. For application on horizontal substrates, remove about 400mm of the release paper and position the membrane on the area to be waterproofed and press down. By pulling on the free end of the release paper, the membrane will automatically unroll without forming wrinkles or folds. When the membrane is correctly aligned press it into position. For ease of handling on vertical substrates, cut the Formceal 3000X into lengths of 3m. This membrane can be covered with either a concrete screed or topping, tiles, aggregate, insulation material or similar. When doing so make sure that the membrane is not punctured or damaged.
