2 Page 2 The Curry County Board of Commissioners is requesting competitive sealed bids for on three (3) buildings at the Curry County Fairgrounds, 600 South Norris, Clovis, NM, and the Field Fire Station, Field, NM There are 4 specific roof repairs. Each bidder may bid on one individual roof up to and including all 4 roofs. Curry County reserves the right to review all bids and accept as many bids and enter into as many contracts with one or multiple bidders in order to provide County with the lowest overall cost and expenses. SCOPE OF WORK: Curry County is seeking a bid for Elastomeric Coating Roof Repairs at the Curry County Fairgrounds and the Field Fire Station. Curry County makes no representation regarding the areas of measurement contained in any of the following two descriptions of the roof projects. Each bidder shall be responsible for measuring and determining the appropriate amount of materials necessary to complete the project as written. Both roofs will be bid together in one bid. Roof Number General Description of Work Needed Specifications as listed may not be accurate 1. Curry County Fairgrounds, Commercial Building, 600 South Norris Street, Clovis, NM Clean with pressure/chemical spray, patch any problem areas to existing foam and coat approximately square feet of roofing with Elastomeric Roof Coating. 2. Curry County Fairgrounds, Indoor Pavilion, 600 South Norris Street, Clovis, NM Clean with pressure/chemical spray, patch any problem areas to existing foam and coat approximately 6272 square feet of roofing with Elastomeric Roof Coating. 3. Curry County Fairgrounds, Food Building, 600 South Norris Street, Clovis, NM Clean with pressure chemical spray, patch any problem areas to existing foam and coat approximately 3,870 square feet of roofing with Elastomeric Roofing Coating. 4. Field Fire Station, Field, NM. Clean with Pressure/chemical spray and coat approximately 3,075 square feet of roofing with Elastomeric Roof Coating. A. All bidders must have and must provide evidence of a New Mexico Contractor s License that would permit them to provide the services set forth in their bid documents.

3 Page 3 B. Each successful bidder must secure any and all necessary permits/permission related to each building before work commences. C. Each successful bidder must provide Curry County with proof of general liability insurance in an amount no less than $1,000, general liability insurance per occurrence. D. All repairs must be completed on or before June 1, E. Prior to the acceptance of any completed work, successful bidder will be responsible for cleaning up the jobsite and properly disposing of any and all trash, building debris and building materials and ensure that any and all nails, screws or other sharp objects are removed from the worksite and properly disposed of. PRE-BID CONFERENCE A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Curry County Fairgrounds Commercial Building located at 600 South Norris, Clovis, NM In order to be considered a successful bidder, the bidder, or its representative must appear and participate in the pre-bid conference. The successful bidder must be licensed, or have subcontractors who are licensed to perform any and all of the work required for each of the above scopes of work. The Pre-Bid conference will include a viewing of each roof described in the scope of work listed above. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Prior to acceptance, Curry County personnel will walk through the locations listed above and provide a punch list if appropriate and county will provide the successful bidder with an additional five (5) days to satisfactorily complete any and all items on said punch list. 2. Curry County reserves the right to determine the order of the roof repair schedule. The county s projected completion date for all roof repair is June 1, If the successful bidder becomes aware that the description of work on any building is not what is specified in these bid documents, Contractor shall immediately notify Curry County of the same and, where appropriate, a revision to the contract may be required. 4. Warranties are mandatory on each roof. Elastomeric roof coatings must have a 10 year manufacturing warranty. All roofs will require a 2 year contractor workmanship warranty.

4 Page 4 VARIATIONS Any variations from, or exceptions to, the conditions and specifications of this Invitation to Bid must be listed on a separate sheet labeled "Exception(s) to Bid Conditions", and attached to the bid. QUOTATION SHEETS Bidders shall use the attached Quotation Sheet(s) to submit their bids. The Quotation Sheet(s) must be signed. New Mexico Gross Receipts tax will be applied to the entire project since it is a construction project. A quotation sheet for each roof for which a bid is submitted must be completed and turned in as part of the bid packet. As an example if bidding on all 4 roofs the bidder must contain 4 separately completed quotation sheets. NEW MEXICO BIDDER'S PREFERENCE Pursuant to Sections & NMSA 1978, and GSD Rule NMAC, bidders claiming the 5% preference must be certified prior to the bid opening. The number must appear on the Quotation Sheet(s) in the space provided in order to receive the preference. BID OPENING Competitive sealed bids will be accepted until Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Curry County Administration office, 700 N. Main Street, Clovis, New Mexico. At that time and place, the bids will be publicly opened. Bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: " - Do Not Open". RESERVATIONS The Curry County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities, to accept in whole or in part such bid or bids as may be deemed in the best interest of the County. AWARD The award may be made to the bidder providing a responsive, responsible bid which results in the lowest cost to the County. The award will be made by the Curry County Commission at their next regularly scheduled meeting. Bid prices must be good for sixty (60) days after date of award. The undersigned hereby offers to furnish and deliver the products as specified above at the prices and terms there stated, and in strict accordance with the specifications and general conditions of the Invitation to Bid, all of which are made a part of this offer. This offer must be good for at least sixty (60) days subsequent to the bid opening date. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This bid requires a five (5) percent bid bond and is not required to have a Wage Determination from the Department of Workforce Solutions.
