The Bid Opening Date has been revised to May 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Location remains the same. 2. The Schedule of Prices Bid Sheets have been revised and are attached. These revised Schedule of Prices Bid Sheets MUST be completed and returned with your Bid submittal. Contingent Item No. 7 has been added. 3. Question: Do the Artistic Specifications supersede the Architectural Specifications? Answer: No, both specifications shall be used in conjunction with each other. However, the Artistic Specifications shall be used as a supplement to Specification Section 09440, Epoxy Terrazzo Flooring System. 4. Question: The Artistic Specifications call for 100% crack isolation membrane. Does this void the crack isolation membrane per l/f in the Architectural Specifications? Answer: No, as described the 100% crack isolation membrane that is specified in the Artistic Specifications does not void the crack isolation membrane per the Architectural Specifications. Both the Artistic and Architectural Specifications per Section describe providing a crack isolation membrane at ALL areas that will receive terrazzo flooring. The crack isolation membrane costs shall be included in Line Items G100-4.a, G100-4.b, G100-4.c, G100-6, G100-7 and G Question: The Artistic Flooring Design requires the floor tolerance to 1/8 from true plane in a 10 foot span. The bidding documents have no items for pricing the floor leveling. How do we give a price for floor leveling when we do not know how bad the floor tolerance is? Answer: The Schedule of Prices Bid Sheets have been revised to include Contingent Item No. 7. All other terms, conditions and specifications remain unchanged for this bid. Andrews Avenue, Room 212 Fort Lauderdale, Florida FAX NOTICE FOR BIDS - BID No. Z C1 Terrazzo Floors at Concourse B, C and E Sealed bids for selling and delivering all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and services for the completion of the work, including installation of materials, supplies and equipment sold and delivered to Broward County for the construction of Terrazzo Floors at Concourse B, C and E at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (Bid No. Z C1) will be received by the Board of County Commissioners until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read in the offices of the Purchasing Division of Broward County, Governmental Center, Room 212, 115 South Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida Scope of Work: The Work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, services and installation for the construction of Terrazzo Floors at Concourse B, C and E. The Work includes the installation of terrazzo floors, preparation of existing concrete floors, demolition of carpet, temporary partitions and barricades, temporary signage, and maintenance of passenger traffic at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. There shall be a Non Mandatory Pre-bid Conference and Site Visit on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at 9:00 a.m. at the following location: Broward County Aviation Department Facilities Maintenance Conference Room 3545 SW 2 nd Avenue Ft. Lauderdale, FL See attached map for location of Pre-bid Conference. Site visit attendees will need to provide a valid driver s license in order to obtain a visitor badge and will be escorted during the site visit. Attendees will be required to pass through an Airport security checkpoint and may be subject to search. Attendance at the Pre-bid Conference is highly encouraged and recommended as a source of information but is not mandatory.
