Pitch floors to drains where required.
2 SPECIFICATION: Page 2 of 7 C. Concrete substrates requiring filling or patching up to ½ thick are to be repaired with LevelQuik Leveling Compound Fast-Setting Cement. D. For horizontal applications requiring leveling over ½ thick, use mortar mix (5 parts sand and 1 part cement gauged with one part Acrylic Mortar Admix to one part water) over a screed finish. E. For vertical concrete substrates requiring a build up or leveling of the concrete between ½ and 1½ average thickness, use CustomFloat Mortar Mix gauged with ½ water and ½ Custom Acrylic Mortar Admix over a scratch coat. F. All surfaces to receive tile are to be left clean, free from dust, oil, grease, wax, tar, paint, curing agents, sealers, form release agents or any deleterious substance which may reduce or prevent adhesion. G. The general contractor shall be responsible for the removal of all such contaminants prior to the commencement of the tile installation work. 8. If the substrate is different than concrete or if additional installation materials are required (such as waterproofing, substrate preparation materials, expansion joint materials or sealers) insert the appropriate ANSI standard for that material in the Quality Assurance Paragraph, This is a suggested specification for the materials named above. It remains the responsibility of the architect or engineer to ascertain appropriateness for a given job.
