1 BIOHOF ACHLEITNER > Ilse and Günther Achleitner from Eferding were planning to build a biological farm outlet, to accommodate logistics, administration, sales and a restaurant featuring self-produced goods and other items. > The entire building was planned according to passive house standards and is divided by architectural and usability means into logistics-, administrative- and sales areas respectively. > The sustainable and environmentally conscious construction was chosen to express the identification with the products and their environment. > LOGISTICS AREA: hall construction with 32 m span, roof- and wall elements, partly with visible thermal insulation out of bales of straw. > ADMINISTRATION: two-storey wooden construction, suspended ceiling out of bonded wood roof framing with glulam planks, roof- and wall construction with larch clad façade. > CUSTOMER AREA-BIO MARKET: wall construction with exposed larch panelling. 2 WURBAUERKOGEL LOOK-OUT TOWER > The municipalities Windischgarsten und Rosenau initiated the complete concept»erlebnisberg Wurbauerkogel«which is a part of Kalkalpen National Park. > A 21 m high look-out tower built as a wood construction was foreseen in the concept. > The wooden construction with a total height of 21 m has a triangular layout with double corner columns and a triangular inner core. > The individual floors consist of glulam planks connected by steel staircases. > The entire 6-floor high construction is completely glazed and has a projecting lookout platform on the side facing the valley. 3 HORNBACH ST. PÖLTEN > Starting point for the project was an inexpensive and attractive supporting structure of the Hornbach do it yourself store, which also should comply with fire resistance class F 30 (fire resistant). Furthermore, the construction should create a pleasant atmosphere. > The Glöckel solution consisted of a glulam-construction, mounted to the existing steel supports, consisting of glulam beams, gable roof beams, hip rafters, curved rafters and a layer of purlin, prepared for fitting the roofpanels and glazing. > To facilitate a slender profile, the beams were partially trussed with steel traction rods. 4 Fotos: Walter Luttenberger I WOOD I BAD AUSSEE SPORTS CENTRE > The building owner was looking for an architecturally very sophisticated tribune roof, emphasizing the supporting structure. This was achieved by panelling the main joists resp. wood purlins on the bottom- and external sides with Polycarbonate panels and simultaneously lighting the interstice. > A double curved glulam-construction was chosen and fitted onto the existing steel supports, and a horizontal bracing, corresponding to the static requirements, was fitted between the main joists. 5 PEDESTRIAN-BRIDGE IN KIRCHBERG/PIELACH > The pedestrian bridge across the Pielach was a final year project for the HTBL (polytechnic institute) in Krems. The town mayor wished for an attractive wooden bridge harmoniously integrating into the surrounding town environment and providing safe crossing for the students. > The bridge was completely assembled in our factory after technical and static adjustments and delivered in one piece to Kirchberg. 6 MATRICULATION MILLENNIUM PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE IN OBER-GRAFENDORF > The pedestrian bridge in Ebersdorf/Ober-Grafendorf was a matriculation project for the HTBL (polytechnic institute) in Krems, department of construction engineering. Several supporting structures were elaborated and projected. > A major concern for the municipality was a modern, safe and roofed bridge construction which harmoniously integrates into the hilly landscape. > The bridge was constructed using a three-hinged arch as supporting structure into which the footpath construction was suspended by steel traction rods. > The curved roof construction is made from corrugated aluminium.
