3 Garden Steps Landscape Wall Engineered Wall Vertical Walls Set back Walls How many blocks will you need? Determine the length (l) and height (h) of the wall. For wall units, multiply the l x h x the number of block units per m 2. For capping units, multiply l by the number of units per lineal metre. Please refer to product grid on page 18 and 19 of this brochure for more helpful information. h l Vertical or Set Back? Setback - Setback walls refer to the stepped building method where, as a part of the design of the retaining wall block, a nib at the base of the block allows each row to be securely installed slightly back from the face of the block it sits upon. Using this method, setback walls are able to be installed to a greater height, before being engineered. This method is ideal for retaining soil and land in medium to high projects. Vertical - Vertical walls are constructed in a manner where each block sits flush with the face of the block it sits upon, in outdoor areas and are ideal for small to medium walls or planter boxes. - All Adbri Masonry products are tested for quality and to meet all relevant Australia Standards in our N.A.T.A accredited laboratory. NOTE: With appropriate engineering advice vertical walls can also be built higher than the stated maximum, non reinforced height. - For all laying instructions please see 3

Landscape Wall - Usually built under one metre high (always landscape walls are ideally used in creating planter boxes, retaining land and or soil. Engineered Walls - maximum height of your selected retaining wall, it is crucial the wall. 22 Retaining Wall Installation Instructions NOTE: Most councils will require you to get council approval before constructing retaining walls in excess of 800mm in height. Please check with your local council for their requirements prior to installing a retaining wall. Ensure all the conditions listed on pages 22 and 23 are met if using these designs.
