Texas Accessibility Standards 1.4 SUBMITTALS Product Data: Manufacturer's printed product literature for each type of sign, indicating sign styles, font, foreground and background colors, locations, overall dimensions of each sign. B. Signage Schedule: Provide information sufficient to completely define each sign for fabrication, including room number, room name, other text to be applied, sign and letter sizes, fonts, and colors. 1. When room numbers to appear on signs differ from those on the drawings, include the drawing room number on schedule. 2. When content of signs is indicated to be determined later, request such information from Owner through Architect at least 2 months prior to start of fabrication; upon request, submit preliminary schedule. 3. Submit for approval by Owner through Architect prior to fabrication. 1.5 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING Package signs as required to prevent damage before installation. PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.1 MANUFACTURERS Flat Signs: SIGNAGE

Sign size will be at minimum compliant with accessibility codes. 2. Signs to be mounted in compliance with accessibility codes. B. Interior Dimensional Letter Signs: Bottom-mounted. 1. Interior: As defined on drawings. 2.3 SIGN TYPES Color and Font: Unless otherwise indicated: 1. Character Font: in compliance with accessibility requirements, match existing. 2. Character Case: Upper and lower case (title case). 3. Background Color: as selected by the architect from any range of manufacturer colors. 4. Character Color: as selected by the architect from any range of manufacturer colors color. 2.4 ACCESSORIES Concealed Screws: Stainless steel, galvanized steel, chrome plated, or other non-corroding metal. PART 3 EXECUTION 3.1 EXAMINATION Verify that substrate surfaces are ready to receive work. 3.2 INSTALLATION Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. B. Product Data: Submit data on accessories describing size, finish, details of function, and attachment methods. Manufacturer's Installation Instructions: Indicate special procedures, conditions requiring special attention, and accessible mounting requirements. 4 2.2 MATERIALS Accessories - General: Shop assembled, free of dents and scratches and packaged complete with anchors and fittings, steel anchor plates, adapters, and anchor components for installation. 1. Grind welded joints smooth. 2. Fabricate units made of metal sheet of seamless sheets, with flat surfaces. B. Keys: Provide 8 keys for each accessory to Owner; master key lockable accessories. C. Stainless Steel Sheet: ASTM A666, Type 304. D. Stainless Steel Tubing: ASTM A269/A269M, Type 304 or 316. E. Galvanized Sheet Steel: Hot-dipped galvanized steel sheet, ASTM A653/A653M, with G90/Z275 coating. F. Mirror Glass: Annealed float glass, ASTM C1036 Type I, Class 1, Quality 02, with silvering, protective and physical characteristics complying with ASTM C1503. G. Adhesive: Two component epoxy type, waterproof. H. Fasteners, Screws, and Bolts: Hot dip galvanized; tamper-proof; security type. I. Expansion Shields: Fiber, lead, or rubber as recommended by accessory manufacturer for component and substrate. 2.3 FINISHES Stainless Steel: No. 4 Brushed finish, unless otherwise noted. B. Baked Enamel: Pretreat to clean condition, apply one coat primer and minimum two coats epoxy baked enamel. 2.4 TOILET ROOM ACCESSORIES Toilet Paper Dispenser: Twin Jumbo-Roll, surface mounted, stainless steel unit, hinged at bottom, view slot for supply control, tumbler lock. 1. Capacity: two 10 inch toilet tissue rolls with 2-1 /4 or 3 inch cores. Sliding panel to expose one roll at a time to provide no-waste use of first roll before reserve roll. 2. Mounting: a. Mount center of unit 8 inches from front of toilet. b. Mount top of unit 30" from finish floor; must be 1-1/2" below grab bars mounted above unit. B. Paper Towel Dispenser: Folded paper type, stainless steel, surface-mounted, with viewing slots on sides as refill indicator and tumbler lock. 1. Capacity: 400 C-fold or 525 multi-fold minimum. 2. Soap Dispenser: Liquid soap dispenser, wall-mounted, surface, with stainless steel cover and horizontal stainless steel tank and working parts; push type soap valve, check valve, and window gage refill indicator, tumbler lock. 1. Minimum Capacity: 40 ounces. 2. Mounting: a. Typical, mount push buttom at 42 inches above finish floor. 1) Ages 9-12: Mount push button at 40 inches above finish floor. b. When mounted adjacent to sink, mount on wall beyond sink with center of dispenser 6 inches from center line of lavatory. 3. Product: B-2111 manufactured by Bobrick. D. Mirrors: Stainless steel framed, 1/4 inch thick annealed float glass; ASTM C Annealed Float Glass: Silvering, protective and physical characteristics in compliance with ASTM C Frame: 0.05 inchangle shapes, with mitered and welded and ground corners, and tamperproof hanging system; No.4 finish. 3. Backing: Full-mirror sized, minimum 0.03 inch galvanized steel sheet and nonabsorptive filler material. 4. Shelf: Stainless steel; gage and finish to match mirror frame, turned down edges, welded to frame; maximum 4 inches deep, full width of mirror. 5. Mounting: a. Mirrors over Lavatories or Countertops: 1) Shelf: None. 2) Minimum Size: 18 inches wide, 36 inches high. 3) Mount bottom of reflecting surface at 40 inches maximum above finish floor and top of reflecting suface at 74 inches minimum above finish floor. 6. Product: B-165/166 manufactured by Bobrick. E. Grab Bars: Stainless steel, nonslip grasping surface finish. 1. Standard Duty Grab Bars: a. Push/Pull Point Load: 250 pound-force, minimum. b. Dimensions: 1-1/4 inch outside diameter, minimum 0.05 inch wall thickness, concealed flange mounting, 1-1/2 inch clearance between wall and inside of grab bar. c. Finish: Satin finish with peened gripping surface. d. Length, Configuration, and Mounting: 1) At Wheelchair Accessible Toilets: (a) At side wall, provide 42 inch long minimum horizontal grab bar. Mount end of bar closest to rear wall 12 inches maximum from rear wall; mount end of bar furthest from rear wall 54 inches minimum from rear wall. (b) At rear wall, provide 36 inch long minimum horizontal grab bar. Mount such that bar extends from centerline of watercloset 12 inches minimum on oned wide and 24 inches minimum on the other side. e. Undersink Accessbile Piping Covers: Anti-micorbial, molded, undersink safety covers for accessiblity compliance. 1. Style: Molded, soft, reslient vinyl with concealed fasteners. 2. Provide P-trap and valve cover assemblies in compliance with accessibility regulations to enclose all lavatory/sink and related piping where not protected by millwork. 3. Product: LavGuard2 by Truebro. H. Odor Control System: Automatic, non-aersol, odor neutralizing system. 1. Pump Dispenser Indicators: battery level and days until refill required. 2. Flexible Programming: Dispenser shall allow programming of spray intervals (high, medium, low), hours ofoperation (12, 24), and days of week (5, 6, 7). 3. Pump refills shall be water-based with low voes. Provide 2 pump refills (Odor neutralizer scent) for each dispenser. 4. Dispenser color: White. 5. Provide at each multi-stall restroom, each individual toilet room, and each locker room. Provide one unit per 400 square feet. 6. Product: TC Pump System by Rubbermaid. 2.5 UTILITY ROOM ACCESSORIES Combination Utility Shelf/Mop and Broom Holder: 0.05 inch thick stainless steel, Type 304, with 1/2 inch returned edges, 0.06 inch steel wall brackets. 1. Hooks: 4, 0.06 inch stainless steel rag hooks at shelf front. 2. Mop/broom holders: 3 spring-loaded rubber cam holders at shelf front. 3. Length: 34 inches. 4. Product: B-239 manufactured by Bobrick. PART 3 EXECUTION 3.1 EXAMINATION Verify existing conditions before starting work. B. Verify exact location of accessories for installation. 3.2 INSTALLATION Install accessories in accordance with manufacturers' instructions in locations indicated on the drawings. B. 7 C. Cooridnate mounting heights and locations with accessiblity regulations; verify mounting heights indicated within this specificaiton and on drawings comply with regulations. Notify Architect immediatly of any discrepancies. 3.3 PROTECTION Protect installed accessories from damage due to subsequent construction operations. 8 SECTION FIRE PROTECTION SPECIAL TIES PART1 GENERAL 1.1 SECTION INCLUDES Fire extinguishers. B. Fire extinguisher cabinets. C. Accessories. 1.2 RELATED REQUIREMENTS Related Documents: Drawings and general provisions of the Contract including TPWD Uniform General Conditions and Section "Special Conditions" apply to this Section. 1.3 REFERENCE STANDARDS NFPA 10 - Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers; SUBMITTALS Product Data: Provide extinguisher operational features, color and finish, and anchorage details. 1.5 FIELD CONDITIONS Do not install extinguishers when ambient temperature may cause freezing of extinguisher ingredients. PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.1 MANUFACTURERS Fire Extinguishers and Fire Extinguisher Cabinets shall be from same manufacturer. B. Fire Extinguishers, Fire Extinguisher Cabinets and Accessories: 1. C. Door: inch metal thickness, reinforced for flatness and rigidity with nylon catch. Hinge doors for 180 degree opening with two butt hinge. 1. Solid door (no glazing) with ADA pull handle. D. Cabinet Mounting Hardware: Appropriate to cabinet, with pre-drilled holes for placement of anchors. E. Weld, fill, and grind components smooth. F. PART 3 EXECUTION 3.1 EXAMINATION Verify existing conditions before starting work. 3.2 INSTALLATION Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. B. Install cabinets plumb and level, 48 inches from finished floor to inside top of cabinet. 1. Bottom of surface and semi-recessed cabinets shall not exceed 27 inches from finish floor. C. 11 SECTION FIXED SUN SCREENS PART1 GENERAL 1.1 SECTION INCLUDES Modular, shop fabricated, extruded aluminum sun screens to be mounted on structure provided by others. 1.2 RELATED REQUIREMENTS Related Documents: Drawings and general provisions of the Contract including TPWD Uniform General Conditions and Section "Special Conditions" apply to this Section. 1.3 SUBMITTALS Shop Drawings: Prior to commencement of fabrication, submit detailed shop drawings, showing all profiles, sections of all components, finishes, fastening details, and manufacturer's technical and descriptive data. Include field dimensions of openings and elevations on shop drawings. 8. Design Data: Submit comprehensive structural analysis of design for the specified loads. Stamp and sign calculations by professional engineer licensed within the state the canopy is installed. Design must be certified to meet TDI Inland I Wind Zone Design Standards. Coordinate with the ICF wall engineer C. Designer Qualification Statement. D. Specimen Warranty: Furnish a copy of manufacturer's standard warranty. E. Installer Qualification Statement. 1.4 QUALITY ASSURANCE Manufacturer Qualifications: Company specializing in manufacturing products specified in this section, with no less than five years of documented experience. 8. Installer Qualifications: Company specializing in performing the work of this section. 1. Approved by manufacturer. 1.5 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING Deliver materials to project site ready for erection. 8. Package using methods that prevent damage during shipping and storage on site. 12 B. Sun Screens: Correct defective work within a one year period after Date of Substantial Completion. PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.1 MANUFACTURERS Fixed Sun Screens: 1. Industrial Louvers, Inc; Style per drawings: 2. Mapes Lumishade (Basis of Design): Architectural Canopies (Style per drawings): SUN SCREENS Sun Screens: Shop fabricated, shop finished, extruded aluminum outriggers, louvers, and fascia, free of defects impairing strength, durability or appearance. 1. Configuration: As indicated on drawings; based upon a Mapes Lumishade canopy. 2. Materials a. Decking shall consist of an interlocking roll-formed 2 1/2 W style pan (minimum.040" aluminum.) b. Intermediate framing members shall be extruded aluminum, alloy 6063-T6, in profile and thickness shown in current Mapes brochures. c. Hanger rods and attachment hardware shall be standard finish. d. Fascia shall be standard 8" extruded J style (minimum.125 aluminum). 3. Sizes: As indicated on drawings. 4. Provide a complete system ready for erection at project site. 2.3 FINISHES Finish Color: As selected by Architect from the manufactures premium 2 coat Kynar colors. 2.4 FABRICATION All canopies are shipped in preassembled sections for ease of installation. B. All connections shall be mechanically assembled utilizing 3/16 fasteners with a minimum shear stress of 350 lb. Pre-welded or factory-welded connections are not acceptable. C. Decking shall be designed with interlocking roll-formed aluminum members. D. Concealed drainage. Water shall drain from covered surfaces into intermediate trough and be directed to either the front for front drainage or to the rear for ground level discharge via one or more designated downspouts. PART 3 EXECUTION 3.1 EXAMINATION Examine substrates and site area for conditions that might prevent satisfactory installation FIXED SUN SCREENS

13 B. C. D. E. 3.2 B. C. Verify that dimensions of supporting structure are within plus/minus 1/8 inch of dimensions shown on shop drawings. Verify that all adjacent painting, roofing, masonry work, and other work that might damage sun screen finish has been completed prior to installation of sun screens. Do not install until after all adjacent painting, roofing and masonry have been completed. Do not proceed with installation until all conditions are satisfactory. INSTALLATION Install in accordance with manufacturer's installation instructions. Set units level, plumb, with uniform joints, and aligned with building elements. Separate dissimilar metals using concealed bituminous paint or non-absorbent gasket. D. Anchor units to structure as indicated on the drawings. E. Do not cut or trim aluminum members without approval of manufacturer; do not install damaged members. 3.3 TOLERANCES Maximum Variation from Level: Plus/Minus 1/8 inch. 3.4 CLEANING Clean exterior surfaces units of dust and debris; follow manufacturer's cleaning instructions for the finish used. 3.5 PROTECTION Protect units after installation to prevent damage due to other work until Date of Substantial Completion.
