1 NOVELLA Installation Instructions for Wall Mount Lavatory with Corner Cabinet and Storage System INTRODUCTION Thank you for selecting our Porcher product. To ensure that your installation proceeds smoothly, read these instructions carefully before you begin. Also, review the recommended tools and materials section. Carefully unpack and examine your new plumbing fixture.

2 ALL INSTALLATION PROCEDURES MUST COMPLY IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH APPLICABLE LOCAL PLUMBING, BUILDING AND ELECTRICAL CODES TOOLS AND MATERIALS REQUIRED Most of the procedures require the use of common tools and materials, which are available from hardware and plumbing, supply stores. It is essential that the tools and materials be on hand before work is begun. REPLACEMENT USE When replacing an original unit be sure to shut off water supply before removing the unit or disconnecting water supply lines and drain fittings. Original supply lines and shutoff valves should be replaced and used with fittings and adapters to match the hookups on the replacement unit. USE TEFLON SEALANT TAPE ON PIPE THREADS FOR WATERTIGHT CONNECTIONS!

3 DIMENSIONING DIAGRAMS INSTALLATION PROCEDURES Typical installation includes wall preparation, installation of faucet and pop-up drain, connection of flexible water supply lines, attachment of lavatory to wall, sizing and installation of drain, connecting supplies to house water system. Installation of cabinets and electrical wiring requires additional wall support and preparation Lavatory Mounting Provisions Whether the lavatory is used for replacement or new installation, the wall area behind the lavatory basin mounting holes must be reinforced to provide secure mounting of the new unit. Cabinet Mounting Provisions Wall area behind corner mirror cabinet and storage cabinet mounting holes, must also be reinforced to ensure secure mounting of cabinets.

4 Preparing Wall for Mounting For non-masonry installation, crosspieces must be installed at both the lavatory and cabinet mounting surface locations to ensure adequate support and reinforcement. STEP 1. Remove wallboard/covering from designated area. STEP 2. Toenail 2 x 6 (51 mm x 152 mm) crosspieces between studs (or notch studs to accept a 1 x 6 (25 mm x 152 mm) crosspiece, and attach securely). Refer to Installing Lavatory Step 1 on next page for dimensional location of all crosspieces and electrical gang box. See diagram below. STEP 3. Replace wallboard/finished wall media. 5 INSTALLING LAVATORY STEP 1. Using level, draw vertical and horizontal lines and mark the four hole locations for the lavatory. Next mark the three hole locations for the corner mirror cabinet and the four hole locations for the storage cabinet system. Drill appropriately sized holes at the locations marked. 6 STEP 2. Pre-assemble P-trap drain connections in accordance with manufacturer s instructions. Check that pop-up drain opens and closes properly when drain control is operated. Connect supply lines to shutoff valves and loosely install drain connection. STEP 3. Apply a bead of self-adhesive sealing compound all around the back mounting surfaces of the lavatory. With assistance, place lavatory into position and loosely fasten the lavatory to the wall using the four anchors provided. Level lavatory side to side and front to rear (place a sheet of tissue under level to protect lavatory), then securely tighten anchors. 7 STEP 4. Install faucet and drain in accordance with manufacturer s instructions. Tighten drain and water supply connections. Turn on water supply valves and water-test installation. Install chromium plated brass siphon-cover in accordance with manufacturer s instructions. INSTALLING BASE STORAGE CABINET AND TRAP COVER STEP 1. With assistance, position the base cabinet storage system into position under the lavatory and fasten to wall at the four anchor locations. Before tightening anchors, install the chrome trap cover as shown. The trap cover should be wedged between the lavatory and base storage cabinet. Securely tighten the cabinet anchors. 8 FIXTURE LIMITED WARRANTY If inspection of this Porcher plumbing product, within one year after its initial purchase, confirms that it is defective in materials or workmanship, Porcher will repair or, at its option, exchange the product for a similar model. This warranty applies to the original customer only and does not cover any copper, gold, platinum or custom hand painting. The re-firing of any china product by purchaser will null and void this warranty. This limited warranty does not apply to local building code compliance. Since local building codes vary considerably, the purchaser of this product should check with a local building or plumbing contractor to insure local code compliance before installation. This warranty shall be void if the product has been moved from its initial place of installation; if it has been subjected to faulty maintenance, abuse, misuse, accident or other damages; if it was not installed in accordance with Porcher's instructions; or if it has been modified in a manner inconsistent with the product as shipped by Porcher Porcher's option to repair or exchange the product under this warranty does not cover any labor or other costs of removal or installation, nor shall Porcher be responsible for any other incidental or consequential damages attributable to a product defect or to the repair or exchange of a defective product, all of which are expressly excluded from this warranty. (Some states or provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties, so this exclusion may not apply to you.) This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other statutory rights that vary from state to state or from province to province, in which case this warranty does not affect such statutory rights. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE Prices: All prices are subject to change without notice and are exclusive of any shipping, delivery, packaging or handling charges that may apply. Freight: Shipper reserves the right to ship the merchandise via the method and carrier of their choosing. Cancellations/Order Changes: Any changes or cancellations must be made before your order leaves the shipper s warehouse. No cancellations will be accepted on special order items that have already gone into production. Once the shipment has left the warehouse, the client is liable for all related shipping charges (including return of any unwanted merchandise) and restocking charges. Claims: Claims for shortages must be made within 5 days from receipt of goods. Any claim for a shipment not received must be reported within 30 days from invoice date. Returns: No merchandise may be returned for credit or replacement without the express written approval of the shipper. Returned merchandise must be in first quality, resale condition and shipped prepaid in its original packaging. NO returns will be accepted beyond forty-five (45) days from original date of shipment. Special order items will not be accepted for return. A 25% restocking and administrative charge will apply on all returns. Freight Claims: Upon delivery of the merchandise, the client should examine the packaging for damage. Client must note on bill of lading when signing for truck orders: MERCHANDISE SUBJECT TO INSPECTION (not necessary on UPS or RPS carriers.) If not noted, Porcher will not take responsibility for filing a claim. Any damage should be noted on the carrier s delivery receipt before signing. In the event of apparent concealed damage or shortage, the client should retain all packaging and file a claim with the carrier. The shipper s responsibility ceases when the merchandise is delivered in good condition to the carrier. Porcher will NOT pay freight-damaged claims unless filed with Customer Service within 14 days of receipt of product.
