2 Smart Panel System Produces fully relocatable smart panel systems (BHU) The Bed Head Unit designed and manufactured off site with all services factory installed, supplied prefinished to fit flush within a plasterboard wall. The unit is custom designed to fit all client s requirements. A Pre Punched panel skin manufactured from 0.75mm galvanized steel locates over the sub frame. Assembled onto the panel skin are gas surrounds, 300mm of medi rail, data outlet, light switch and nurse call. Panel face is removable for access and maintenance. The Panel face is finished in a durable smooth vinyl coating. Panels: 12.5 mm plasterboard bonded on reverse of each panel skin. Panel finish: Formed steel panels with pre coat vinyl face onto a galvanized substrate Panel assembly: Panel skins are friction locked either side onto studs, allowing each skin to be demountable from either side, giving access to the partition void Deflection allowance: +/- 15mm Wall/vertical structure: Adjustable steel profiles Ceiling channels: Recessed / flush steel profiles Skirting: Recessed steel floor tracks Services integration to panels: Medical gas and medical rail unit, data outlet, light switch, nurse call and service modules JUNCTION 6 mm wide. Width: 1200mm or as per project requirements Installation features TOLERANCES floor: ± 15 mm ceiling: ± 15 mm Deflection Allowance: +/- 15mm CONNECTION OF PANEL TYPES The panels skins are friction locked on to the vertical stud giving a 4mm gap between each panel skin INTEGRATION OF ELECTRICAL AND DATA SERVICES The top and bottom channels allow the horizontal passage for electric wiring through the partition Service panel with removable skins allows the installation and integration of electric switches, power sockets, data outlets and medical units Services Gas Outlets: Oxygen / Vacuum / Air Electrical Sockets & Data Outlets : Single or Double Light Switch: Single or Double Medical rail & Nurse call: refer to Norwood for options Use Various service units for medical facilities can be fixed to the partitions. The vinyl coated finish of the partitions means they can be cleaned easily by using a rubber squeegee and a mild detergent. 8 bed head unit installation process Phase: 1 Frame Work and Sub support The Bed Head Unit sub frame consisting of a channeled surround supporting preassembled horizontal mounting plates that will carry the medical gasses, electrical outlets and data outlets, electrical services to be encased and segregated, sub frame manufactured from 1.5mm thick galvanized steel.

9 Phase: 2 Large Semi Permanent Skins Fitted A Pre punched panel skin manufactured from 0.75mm EZ steel are located onto the sub frame. Gas outlets, data points, lights, sockets and Nurse call system are prepunched and fitted flush to skin face. Phase: 3 Fitting of Demountable Service Panels All outlets are housed in removable service panels for access and maintenance. Panel face is finished in a smooth durable vinyl coating
