And so, for example, we do not subcontract the manufacture of critical components in our products to others. // Housings, connecting rods, rotors and spirals are fabricated by us with modern equipment to a precision of three thousandths of a millimeter and are then inspected. However, BITZER quality assurance starts far earlier in the process: with our suppliers. We only use materials and components that meet our stringent guidelines. From these perfect component parts, and through optimal process organization and exact assembly, reliable BITZER products result. // For all our striving for precision and perfection, however, the human element is also important to us. It is our requirement that we check our products more stringently than any other refrigerant compressor or pressure vessel manufacturer. We test every single compressor with extreme care and on the basis of up to 70 parameters. 20 // PRODUCTS

21 // Tests we perform on our compressors include a tightness test using helium, the high-voltage insulation test and a final functional check under part and full load. The result is quality that you can rely on. // Apart from our test criteria, at BITZER we also take climate and environmental protection a step further than most. Damaged castings, chips and grinding dust, for example, do not end up in the refuse but are returned to the manufacturer. There they are melted down and reused. Our varnishing facility is also one of the cleanest in the business: we use water-based varnish containing only two or three per cent solvent. Excess paint particles are caught in water and then separated out by ultrafiltration. The water and paint elements are then recovered and used again in the next varnishing process. // BITZER s wide-ranging environmental commitment can also be seen in the fi nished product. Enhanced effi ciency, reliability and capacity control enable our customers to make lasting energy savings.
