3 TEST REPORT Rendered to: ENDURIS EXTRUSIONS INC 7167 Old Kings Road Jacksonville, Florida Report No: C Test Dates: 08/06/13 Through: 08/07/13 Report Date: 09/17/ General Information 1.1 Product Endwood 6' high by 8' wide Dog Ear Picket Shadow Box Privacy Fence Systems 1.2 Project Description Architectural Testing, Inc. was contracted by Enduris Extrusions Inc. to perform dynamic wind load tests on their 6' high by 8' wide double panel Endwood Cellular privacy fence systems. This report includes comprehensive written and photographic documentation of the testing performed. 2.0 Reference Standard 2010 Florida Building Code, Building 3.0 Wind Load Testing 3.1 Test Specimen Two fence sections measuring approximately 8' 0" wide by 6' 0" tall were tested. Enduris Extrusions Inc. provided all test materials, and they also assembled all test specimens at Architectural Testing Tampa, FL. See drawings in Appendix A for detailed descriptions of assembly and components.

4 Page 2 of Equipment Two propeller fan wind generators were utilized for testing. The propeller of each fan was 84 inches in diameter and was comprised of four Kevlar composite airfoil units belt driven by an 8.1 liter high-output V8 engine. Wind speeds for the wind generators were calibrated according to AAMA Deflections were measured with linear displacement transducers accurate to 0.01 inch. 3.3 Test Setup A steel test fixture was designed and fabricated to simulate a rigid post embedment. The bottom of the bottom rail was fixed at two inches above the top of the test fixture. The wind generator outlet was located 4 ft from the face of the specimen (see photographs in Appendix B). Linear transducers were fixed on the top rail, middle of the in-fill area, and bottom rail of each panel. Transducers were also fixed to the center supporting line post for deflection measurements. 3.4 Test Procedure Per Section of the 2010 Florida Building Code, Building, wind load testing began at 50 mph and increased until failure or a maximum wind speed of 110 mph. Wind loads were performed with a relaxation period between 50 mph and each increased mph up to the maximum mph to record deflections and permanent set measurements. Each wind load applied was held for sixty seconds. 3.5 Limitations of Test Test setup and procedure provides information for evaluation of the fence assembly to resist sustained wind speeds indicated in the test results. This evaluation includes the transfer of wind loads to the fence panels, rails and support posts. The posts supported a double section of fence in this simulation to fully evaluate for actual field conditions.

5 Page 3 of Wind Load Test Results: See drawings in Appendix A for assembly details and photographs in Appendix B for specimen orientation respective to wind direction. Test Sample: #3 Series/Model: Endwood Type: Dog ear picket shadow box Description: 6' high by 8' wide Cellular privacy fence Rails: Three 1-5/8" by 2-3/4" by 93-1/2" cellular Rails. (small rails) Rail Reinforcement: 1" galvanized pipe with a wall thickness of 0.050" was utilized only in the center rail of each panel. Panels: Eighteen 0.425" by 5.5" by 70" cellular cut dog ear style Panels secured to each rail with two # 4d by 1-1/2" ring shank nails. The two panels were each restrained into three routed slots at each post measuring 1-5/8" by 2-3/4". Each post utilized a 1/4" by 63" steel locking rod down through the hollow post and through each rail. Post: Three 5" by 5" by 96" PVC post with (0.150" wall) that was supported by an aluminum insert same height as the jig clamps. 5" by 5" by 32" I beam to keep from crushing post. Rail Attachment: Routed slots captured the ends of the rails. Each rail was secured inplace with steel 1/4" by 63" drop rods. Measurements: Measurements were taken at the top rail, center of panel, bottom rail for each panel (numbers 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9) and top, center and bottom of line post (numbers 4, 5, 6). Test No. 3 - Test Date: 08/06/13 Wind Speed Duration Maximum Deflection (inches) mph 60 sec mph Permanent Set mph 60 sec mph Permanent Set mph 60 sec mph Permanent Set Observation: No visible damage at the completion of the test.
