2 WSSC FACTS Established in 1918 Among the largest water and wastewater utilities in the Nation Approximately 5,600 miles of water pipeline and 5,400 miles of sewer pipeline Approximately 1,000 square mile service area in Prince George s and Montgomery Counties Approximately 1.8 million residents through approximately 460,000 customer accounts Our drinking water has always met or surpassed federal standards 2
