2 Production of Capitol brand adhesives began in 1986 with just three mixers in a small building in Dalton, Georgia. As a small regional company, Capitol products were sold mostly to local distributors. This localized business allowed us to concentrate on our unique formulas and the professional PERFORMANCE of each adhesive. In 1989, with our strong reputation for specialized adhesives, we began expanding our territory and growing our brand loyalty. In 1994, we moved production to a new, larger facility and continued to strengthen our standing with flooring professionals. In 2005, QEP Co., Inc. acquired Capitol Adhesives.
