4 600mm dia. access chamber shaft and cover This product is not manufactured with step iron holes or lifting lugs, so must be manouvered with chains/strap. Sections join together with butt joints. As with all shafts, to achieve a water tight seal, mortar or similar will have to be applied to all joints. The 600 plain cover is suitable for stormwater applications and pedestrian traffic. For traffic and sewer applications refer page 3 (750 surround with light duty or heavy duty gatic cover). 600mm shaft sections various 0.243/m 600mm plain concrete cover Shaft Shafts are centrifugally spun (not vertically cast) giving a very high strength reinforced concrete. These are available in 0.31, 0.61, 0.91 and 1.22 metre lengths. This allows smaller, more manageable sections to be stacked if handling is a problem. Cover 600mm plain concrete cover with built in rebate. Fitted with 1no. recessed steel galvanised lifting handle Figure 1.1 Cover cross section Figure mm shaft 1

5 900mm dia. access chamber shaft and cover The 900mm shaft is manufactured with 2 x 1.3t lifting lugs at the spigot end for handling and may be fitted with the 750 surround (refer page 3), or various covers for appropriate applications. Any section may be cast with a base except 0.31m length section. When a section is cast with a base the effective length of the section when installed is reduced by approx 40-60mm. Section joints are internal flush joints (FJ), therefore mortar or similar should be applied to joint gaps where a water tight seal is required. 900mm shaft sections various 0.443/m 1300 x 100mm base various Shaft Shafts are centrifugally spun, not vertically cast, giving a very dense, high strength reinforced concrete. Available in lengths of 0.31, 0.61, 0.91, 1.22, 1.53, 1.83, 2.14 and 2.44 metres. The cost of a 0.91m section is about the same as the cost of 3 x 0.31m sections allowing smaller, more manageable sections to be joined if handling is an issue on site due to product mass. Cover Refer to 750 surround and covers on page 3. Base Shaft sections may be cast with a 1300 x 100mm base upon request. Please order bases in advance as 900mm dia. sections with a base are not stocked Shaft keys in 40-60mm Figure mm shaft Figure 2.3 Base cross section 2

Various surrounds and covers can be fitted for appropriate applications. Any section may be cast with a base except 0.31m, however the effective length of the section when installed is reduced as the key in is 40-60mm into the base. Section joints are internal flush joints (FJ), therefore mortar or similar should be applied to joint gaps where a water tight seal is required. 1050mm shaft sections various 0.443/m 1300 x 100mm base various Shaft Shafts are centrifugally spun, not vertically cast, giving a very dense, high strength reinforced concrete. Available in lengths of 0.31, 0.61, 0.91, 1.22, 1.53, 1.83, 2.14 and 2.44 metre lengths. The cost of a 0.91m section is about the same as the cost of 3 x 0.31m sections allowing smaller, more manageable sections to be joined if handling is an issue on site due to product mass.
