CLARIFICATIONS Q: Will the pendant fixture shades be painted from the manufacturer? A: DKA Response - Yes. Addressed above Q: The spec calls for S00 panels, /8. Several places on the plans note panels. A: DKA Response - The specification is correct. panel is noted nominally on the plans. /8 is the actual depth, per Basis-of-Design product. Q3. In spec section.. it states that the contractor shall purchase and maintain boiler and machinery insurance. Is this insurance necessary for this project? A3. 5 Illinois Valley Community College Cultural Center Renovations Pre-Bid Meeting Agenda January 7, 07 at :00 pm in the Cultural Center, at Illinois Valley Community College. Bids are due to IVCC, attention Michelle Carboni, on January 3, 07 at :00 pm. Any bids received by IVCC after this time will be returned to the bidder unopened. a. Bidders assume all responsibility for their choice of carrier if they choose to have their bids delivered to the College. b. Submit three copies of the bid in an opaque sealed envelope. On the envelope include the following: Bidder name and address, Bid title, Bid opening time and date. c. Fax and copies of bids will not be accepted. d. A bid bond in the amount of 0% of the bid shall be submitted with the bid, made payable to Illinois Valley Community College. e. Bids will be publicly opened immediately after the submittal deadline. f. A performance bond and labor and material payment bond in the amount of 00% of the bid amount will be required to be submitted by the successful bidder upon award of the contract. g. General contractors will be required to identify their subcontractors prior to award of the contract. h. AIA Document A0 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction for this project is included in the specifications. i. Two () alternate bids are requested on the Bid Form and are described in the specifications.. Bids will be required to be held for 90 days after the due date. 3. All contractors and subcontractors are required to pay prevailing wages in accordance with the specifications and the Illinois Department of Labor.. It is planned that a contract will be awarded to the successful bidder at the February 9, 07 Board Meeting. 5.
