3 INTRODUCTION P.J. Dick Incorporated is pleased to present to the Chartiers Valley Board of School Directors the following Construction Report for the Chartiers Valley Middle School and High School Building Program. The information contained within the Report represents an overview of the project and is published to provide the District with a basic understanding of the current status of the work, an updated budget, current schedule, and any other important issues and/or decisions that require the Construction Team s consideration. P.J. Dick will publish this report on a monthly basis at the beginning of the month, which will typically coincides with the completion of the contractors billing cycle for the previous month and, therefore, contain the most current information possible. 4 Middle School Current Contractor and Job Progress Status Middle School Construction Current construction progress and job status thru April 30, 2017: Mucci General Contractor: Phase 1A Glass Curtain Walls nearly complete. Phase 1A Drywall and drywall finishing ongoing. Phase 1A Painting has commenced. Phase 1B Exterior metal stud and insulation wall system nearly complete. Phase 1B SOG pours completed. Phase 1B Roofing dried in. Roof detail work ongoing. Bridge and Bridge Connector Building steel erection and detailing complete. Bridge Connector CMU work has commenced. Phase 1C (Gym) SOG pours completed. Merit Electric Electrical Contractor: Phase 1A Electrical wall and overhead rough-in ongoing. Power distribution ongoing. Phase 1B Electrical wall and overhead rough-in commenced. Phase 1B Electrical Room substation energized on April 14th. Switchgear work ongoing. Fire Alarm rough-in has commenced. Enders Plumbing Contractor: Phase 1A Wall and overhead plumbing rough-in complete. Fire Protection overhead rough-in nearly complete. Phase 1B Roof drains and rain leaders complete. Wall and overhead plumbing and fire protection rough-in ongoing. R&B Mechanical Mechanical Contractor: RTUs and Chillers anticipated for early May. Phase 1A Overhead mechanical piping and ductwork rough-in nearly complete. Phase 1B Overhead mechanical piping and ductwork rough-in ongoing. Mechanical Room work including piping rough-in, pump work, and boiler work ongoing. Todd Devin Food Service Contractor Submittal and shop drawing process complete. Procurement of equipment ongoing. 4

Phase 1B Performing Arts Substantially Complete. Punchlist work ongoing. Phase 1C Tech Ed Addition - Drywall completed. Finishing nearly completed. Painting ongoing. Ceiling grid has commenced. Unistrut hanging system install ongoing. Roofing detailing and metal coping anticipated in April. Merit Electric Electrical Contractor Phase 1A Auditorium Done. Phase 1B Performing Arts Substantially Complete. Punchlist work ongoing. Phase 1C Tech Ed Addition - Branch wiring rough-in nearly complete. Fire alarm rough-in continues. Tech Ed equipment coordination with existing equipment anticipated in April. New Power Service and Switchgear energized on April 14 th. Enders Plumbing Contractor Phase 1A Auditorium No Work. Phase 1B Performing Arts Substantially Complete. Punchlist work ongoing. Phase 1C Tech Ed Addition Will start fixtures and finishes in sequence with GCs wall and floor finishes. Lugaila Mechanical Mechanical Contractor Phase 1A Auditorium Done. (Note: Replacement AHU work to occur Summer 2017). Phase 1B Performing Arts Equipment startup and checklists ongoing. Substantially Complete. Punchlist work ongoing. Phase 1C Tech Ed Addition Duct and pipe rough-in, insulation, and VAV box nearing completion. Piping work and equipment work in the Mechanical Room is ongoing. Startup of equipment anticipated for mid-june Automated Logic Automatic Temperature Controls Contractor Continued low voltage work in Phase 1B and 1C as necessary. Continues to work with the school district on maintaining active monitoring and the control of the existing systems that remained functional through Phase 1. Phase One Development Asbestos Abatement Contractor Plan to mobilize June 5, 2017 for Phase 2 abatement activities. 6

11 Project Change Order Status (Continued) The following is a summary of current issues that may and/or are resulting in change orders to the MIDDLE SCHOOL PROJECT. The costs for each issue either have been submitted, have yet to be submitted and are being calculated by the Prime Contractor, are being evaluated by the Construction Team, or are identified as a cost issue at this point which may or may not end up as a change. Upon receipt of accurate pricing, change order requests, change order approvals, and/or new issues, PJD will update the below lists appropriately. MIDDLE SCHOOL Mucci Construction 1. Change Order #001 thru #007 approved. 1. Proposed CO #008 Soldier Pile Wall Caisson depths due to bedrock elevation and deduct for hand dryer model change. 2. Proposed CO #009 Added underground 4 storm line, unforeseen foundations during excavation of storm detention, Bridge Connector added CMU wall extension, added curtain wall structural support for wall, modification to canopy steel angle. 3. Cost Issue Added expansion joint covers. 4. Cost Issue Added Door Hardware for Smoke Control / Evacuation System. 5. Cost Issue Metal Panel flashing with air barrier flashing system. 6. Cost Issues Add steel at windows, shaft wall modifications, deduct for wire mesh installation,. 7. Cost Issue Storm pipe replacement of deteriorating existing pipe. Enders Plumbing and Heating 1. Change Order #001 approved. 1. Cost Issue - Increase Grease Trap Size per Collier Township. 2. Cost Issue Provide correct drains for exterior terraces. 3. The costs for each issue either have been submitted, have yet to be submitted and are being calculated by the Prime Contractor, are being evaluated by the Construction Team, or are identified as a cost issue at this point which may or may not end up as a change. Upon receipt of accurate pricing, change order requests, change order approvals, and/or new issues, PJD will update the below lists appropriately. HIGH SCHOOL Rycon Construction 1. Change Order #001 thru #008 approved. 1. Proposed CO #009 Performing Arts Reconciliation Deduct and Auditorium Floor existing floor prep and crack and joint patching clarification. 2. Proposed CO #010 Added CMU above existing doorway, added steel support for storefront windows, 5KV site repairs, new door hardware for existing door, unforeseen debris removal, and unistrut system clarification. 3. Cost Issue Deduct for deleting Operable Partitions in the Learning Tower. 4. Cost Issue Lean Fill for foundation bearing elevations - Phase 1, 2, Cost Issue Delete the Green Ice concrete polishing finishing system. 6. Cost Issue Expansive Material in Elevator Pit in Phase 2B 7. Cost Issues Various items require further evaluation include RFI #089, #153, #155, #161, #166, #177, #181, #194, #201, #204, #207, #209 Enders Plumbing 1. Change Order #001 approved. 1. Cost Issue Extend the Chlorine Fill Line per RFI # Cost Issue Deduct for VE change to Tech Ed air line and reduction in hose reels. 3. Proposed CO (work completed) Add floor drains in Mechanical Room per review and confirmation of owner. 4. Cost Issue ASI #005 - Added fire protection sprinklers in basement. 5. Cost Issue Re-routing of existing unforeseen rain conductors in the Performing Arts Area. Lugaila Mechanical 1. Change Order #001 approved. 1. Cost Issue Deduct to delete the piping flex connections. 2. Cost Issue Add to change 2-way valve to 3-way valve. Merit Electric Group 1. Change Order #001 thru #003 approved. 1. Proposed CO #004 New 5KVA electrical line ductbank to replace existing at the Tech Ed site area. Automated Logic 1. Change Order #001 thru #003 approved. 1. Currently none pending. 12
