Quotations appearing on the Proposal are to reflect the provisions of this Addendum. Failure to acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided on the response sheet may subject candidate to disqualification. RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS: 1. Question: When was the roof installed? Response: December, Question: Please provide the name of the manufacturer for the roof.? Response: Garland. 3. Question: Please provide the name of the contractor that installed the roof? Response: Commercial Roofing & Contracting 340 Kennedy Dr. Putnam, CT 06277

2 4. Question: Please confirm the hours of operation of the library. Response: 9-5:30 Tues., Fri., Sat. 9-8:30 Mon., Wed. Thurs. Building services staff are available before 9:00 a.m. 5. Question: Please confirm the hours of operation concerning the crane Response: Monday Friday 7am 5pm. 6. Question: Confirm whether or not system controls are included in this bid? Response: Provide new controls to run the tower as independent equipment. Tower will be connected in future to new / renovated BMS system. 7. Question: If interfacing is required, provide the manufacturer of the current systems control and your current service contact? Response: Provide new controls to run the tower as independent equipment. Tower will be connected in future to new / renovated BMS system. 8. Question: If new system controls are not included, does this system interface with existing system controls? Response: Provide new controls to run the tower as independent equipment. Tower will be connected in future to new / renovated BMS system. 9. Question: Is there any asbestos in the existing EVAPCO cooling tower? Response: Unknown at this time. City will advise at the conclusion of the environmental testing. Estimated completion date of the testing is October 4, Question: Can the existing EVAPCO cooling tower cut-up on site? Response: Yes. 11. Question: Are we replacing all of the support steel for the new cooling tower? Response: Yes. 12. Question: Is there electrical service on the roof for use of 110 volt tools? Response: Yes, however contractor should provide portable generator power if required.

3 13. Question: Is there lead in the paint on the steel supports for the existing cooling tower? Response: Unknown at this time. City will advise at the conclusion of the environmental testing. Estimated completion date of the testing is October 4, Question: Concerning the existing generator, are we response to remove and dispose of it? Response: Yes. 15. Question: Who is responsible for re-sealing the roof penetrations associated with the generator? Response: The Mechanical contractor is responsible for re-sealing the roof penetrations utilizing only a manufacturer s certified installer. 16. Question: Is there lead paint on either the generator and or the supporting steel? Response: Unknown at this time. City will advise at the conclusion of the environmental testing. Estimated completion date of the testing is October 4, Question: What is the rationale for the replacement of the support steel for the cooling tower? Response: It was decided by City of Norwalk and its engineering consultant, Peterson Engineering Group, that all of the existing support steel should be replaced. Existing support may not hold new larger tower. 18. Question: In the basement, when were the newer Trane units installed? Who installed them? Response: Units were installed in The installer was ProGas. 19. Question: Who do I contact for gaining additional access to either the roof area and or boiler for a follow-up visit? Response: The site contact is Michael Sgobbo. Mr. Sgobbo can be reached at his office number, Question: Condenser water piping specifications call for mallable iron fittings, is this correct? Response: Mallable iron fittings are not required. Victaulic conections or flenaged conections are allowed.

4 21. Question: Make-up water piping specificatons call for cast brass fittings, is this correct? Response: Copper fittings are allowed. 22. Question: Need a spec on the 6 motorized/manual condenser water valves? Response: Belimo F615VIC+SY valve and actuator. 23. Question: Need a detail on the the service platform? Response: Please find attached equipment cutsheet. Platforms shall be provided by tower manufacturer. End of Addendum #2
