An Army Corps of Engineers permit was obtained to replace the culvert with a 60 diameter ADS pipe providing the pipe was embedded 15 below the channel natural bottom so the culvert would meet fish passage requirements. Complicating the replacement were water, sewer and natural gas mains that crossed over the existing culvert. Oak Ridge Road Reclaiming and Paving Project Description: Oak Ridge Road was in poor condition in several sections and all road and driveway culverts were replaced and the drainage ditches improved. The existing road was approximately 26 feet in width and we reduced the new paved width to 22 feet at the end to allow the ditches to be reconstructed with more gradual foreslopes as requested by several abutters. Crooker Construction, LLC reclaimed the road and then repaved it with a 2 base course for this year with the final paving course to be next year. We expended $42,000 this year and expect to spend an additional $24,000 next year installing the final paving. March 9, 2017 Page 9 of 9

March 9, 2017 Page 11 of 11

12 12. Federal Street Center Street to School Street Project Description: For the 500 foot section, 1.5 inches of pavement was milled off the existing pavement. A thin shim layer was then placed and topped with a 1.5 inch mat of 9.5 mm hot mix asphalt wearing course. Milling cost was $5/square yard but it preserves the curb reveal, eliminates the need to adjust utility covers and eliminates the expense and possible ponding issues at driveway aprons as the new paving matches into the existing apron. Slipform concrete curb was added in several sections as the old asphalt curb was significantly deteriorated. March 9, 2017 Page 12 of 12
