5 Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Approach Through the correct Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental system implementation, the ALE - Wind Services division ensures that we identify and manage project and site risks. Over the last 30 years, we have acquired a track record of evolving HSQE cultures though maturing legislation, international standards and client requirements. We are committed to leading the industry, and influencing our clients and subcontractors in a united approach to achieving an incident- and injury-free mindset. In order to achieve this, we invest heavily in our internal infrastructure which includes wind energy-specific training to maintain our competitive advantage and adopt industry best practice. We have ensured that our core systems, which shape the way we operate globally, are certified and proven to comply with ISO 9001 and 14001, as well as OHSAS We know that it is imperative to not only attain the certification, but to also have a robust assurance process in place to ensure that the standards are met and upheld. We see the value in a safer working environment for all and we want to capitalise on our history and better mitigate industry risks. At ALE, we stand by the fact that together we are safer. 8 9

7 Activities As part of the turnkey package, ALE is well adapted and suitably equipped to manage the full scope of port handling operations, including: Interaction with shipping agents Provision of storage area within and outside the port Electro- Mechanical Inland Specialised transport equipment for main components and pre-assembly areas Offloading at storage area and reloading onto specialised transport equipment Efficient delivery of components through the port customs Co-ordination of crew members and stevedore management Package Civil Works Plant (BoP) Electrical Works Receipt of components from vessel Specialised transport equipment for main components and pre-assembly areas Inspection documentation and damage recording 12 13

8 Inland Activities BoP ( Plant) Activities ALE has gained a global reputation for its transport capabilities in countries with varying levels of road development and infrastructure. The fleet includes specialist equipment for the renewable energy sector, comprising of blade, low bed and extendable trailers, as well as tower clamps and low profile wind tower adaptors which enable tower sectors to be transported under standard bridges. Electro- Mechanical Inland ALE - Wind Services has its own team experienced in the full execution of civil infrastructure and the critical electrical scopes for wind farms. By providing this full scope in our services, we simplify the process with just one interface for our clients. Electro- Mechanical Inland We can always find the most suitable solution; ALE can create bespoke transport frames or even develop innovative, unique pieces to complement a new engineering solution. ALE has invested in the latest technology to ensure that we can meet our clients demands and the next generation of turbines. Package Civil Works Package Civil Works ALE has the ability to: Plant (BoP) Electrical Works Main civil BoP includes: Site roads, hardstand areas, wind turbine foundations Plant (BoP) Electrical Works Establish the most suitable transport route Provide and operate specialist equipment for any type of transport Undertake in-depth road surveys and any preliminary studies Provision of necessary escorts and permits Main electrical BoP includes: Park cables, grid connections, substation 14 15

9 Activities ALE recognises the importance of the main crane specifications to the build rate and the overall success of the project. As the next generation of hub heights reach over 175m and the diameter of the rotors increase to maximise the yield, we invest in the largest wind energy-specific mobile and tower cranes with minimal civil footprints and high-wind compatibility. Optimised crane pad design which reduces the BoP cost for clients Crane documentation, lifting and critical lift plans Trained and experienced operators Electro- Mechanical Package Plant (BoP) Electrical Works Inland Civil Works By analysing By analysing the site the layout, site layout, road road type type and topography, and topography, wind wind class, class, turbine turbine model model and hub and height, hub height, we are we able are to able specify to specify the most the most suitable suitable crane crane for the for project the project to optimise to optimise the logistics, the logistics, health health and safety, and safety, and installation and installation sequence. sequence. 11 Front End Engineering & Design (Feed) With a pedigree in innovative engineering and an active Research and Development (R&D) facility, ALE has always been known for developing new solutions to meet future needs. ALE is actively involved in the FEED process when providing wind energy solutions. By using our existing global footprint, global engineering support and traditional business network to gather local knowledge, ALE are able to work through complex technical and logistical issues at an early stage to eliminate expensive changes later on. Our FEED capabilities form a crucial part of the service we offer. ALE has contributed to many high profile projects that have been right at the forefront of global trends in their sector. We are able to adapt to ever-changing industry requirements, evolving safety standards and scope changes as the project gathers definition during the design process. Whilst, at the same time, providing solutions which are as cost-effective and as safe as possible. As a result, we re flexible and work closely with our clients from an early stage to establish what s required and provide practical and customised engineering advice. This advice can lead to savings later, either in time or cost, as the changes are included in the design phase, instead of modified later. Some of our FEED services typically include, but are not limited to, the items below: Physical route surveys to determine the maximum practical equipment weight and dimension information Investigation of environmental conditions affecting the heavy lifting and transport in order to reduce the civil infrastructure on-site Road layout and route improvement studies Lifting drawings and installation studies to determine the most cost and schedule effective methods of sizing hard stands and placing equipment Design of civil and electrical works Logistical studies to ensure that transportation and installation scope supports the project schedule Advice on local regulatory issues relating to the movement of large and indivisible loads to the job site The local expertise to overcome transport and port permitting restrictions Long-term experience with import restrictions of main equipment 20 21
