2 Product Overview Rapid Ply is suitable for most applications, including: foundations; straight and circular walls and columns. Faster RMD Australia s Rapid Ply is a versatile, cost effective system of modular formwork panels, providing a fast solution for concrete walls and slabs. Easier The assembly and disassembly of Rapid Ply is very quick and easy and only requires two workers, saving time and labour. The heaviest panel of 1.44m2 weighs only 38.5kg, consequently Rapid Ply can be used without requiring a crane to form in-situ concrete structures Safer Rapid Ply panels feature high tensile steel frames produced to exacting specifications, therefore the frames are more rigid and less prone to damage Rapid Ply has either a high quality ply face or composite face, which lasts longer, provides a better finish and is easier to clean 1

High Tensile Steel Frames Rapid Ply panels are made from high tensile steel frames which makes the panels more rigid, more robust and up to 5kg/m2 lighter than competitor panels. Erection and Striking is Fast The erection and striking of Rapid Ply is fast and straight forward and only needs a team of two; saving time and money Ply or Composite Finish The 12mm thick plywood with phenolic overlay on the face provides extra long life and a good quality finish. 5 Components Rapid Ply Triple Hinge Corner Rapid Ply s Rapid Ply panels feature high tensile steel frames manufactured to exacting specifications. The 12mm thick plywood with a heavy-duty phenolic overlay on the face provides extra long life and a high quality finish to the concrete. Both edges and back of the ply are sealed to prevent deterioration from moisture. 16 panel sizes are available ranging from 600 x 600mm to 2400 x 600mm. Rapid Ply Triple Hinge Corner is an internal corner which can be used as a stopping mechanism. It is made entirely of steel and it is attached to adjacent panels by wedges at 300mm centres. 7 Components Rapid Ply Wedge Rapid Ply Filler Key Rapid Ply Wedge used in pairs for: connection of one panel to another during erection. Securing each end of the Rapid Tie. Where joints without ties are required, such as external corners. Rapid Ply Filler Key is an extension wedge and is used across the 50mm wide flexible filler channels to support the Rapid Ties which pass through the centre of the Flexible Filler Channel. RPA10060 Wedges 5.0kg/100 RPA10050 Filler Key Rapid Ply Extended Tie Key Rapid Ply A Clamp Rapid Ply Extended Tie Key allows Extended Ties to protrude beyond the panel for easy breakback of the tie without the need for dismantling the form. This unique design enables large shutters to be crane lifted (gangform) and repositioned for the next pour. Extended Rapid Ties range in size from mm in 25mm increments. Rapid Ply A Clamp is designed to secure and align adjacent panels. Rapid Ply Adjustable Rapid Tie Bracket is specially designed for use in battered wallforms and used together with an Adjustable Rapid Tie to give the correct slope and wall thickness, for a batter of up to 5 degrees.
