3 FOOTING INFORMATION You must place the bottom of the footing frame on a suitable flat blocking material to prevent it from sinking further into the soil. We recommend you use a brick, block of wood or gravel. The footing depth of 2 includes 6 of blocking material (refer to image at right and images on the next page as a reference). It is the owner/installers responsibility to check local building codes and to comply with those codes. All footing depths listed here are recommendations and local soil types and frost lines may require a deeper and/or wider footing depth. If that s the case you must add more blocking material to accommodate the deeper footing, as the footing frame will still only be installed at the depth listed in this instruction manual. The top of the plate on the top of the footing frame needs to be installed flush with the top of the concrete surface. JULY 1,

WARNING This equipment is designed for healthy people ages 13 and up. INSTALLATION TIPS & TROUBLE SHOOTING Installation of the equipment is easy since the equipment itself is already assembled. Always call local utilities before digging Do not place equipment in an area where people walking past could be injured while the equipment is in use Install multiple pieces at a safe distance from other equipment A good rule of thumb is maintaining a minimum of 8 between each unit. 5 INSTALLATION STEPS Once the footing has been dug place the frame in the hole. Level the top plate of the frame and poor concrete. Make sure the top of the top plate is flush with the surface of the concrete. After the concrete has cured, install the equipment onto the footing frame by sliding the equipment into position and attaching with the ¾ nuts provided. (Refer to the image on page 3) Next, install the mounting cover using the 3/8 x 2 bolts and 3/8 washers. (Refer to the image on the right side of this page) Inspect the equipment to make sure all parts are secure and operating properly. JULY 1,

6 MAINTENANCE THIS DOCUMENT WILL ACT AS YOUR ORIGINAL DOCUMENT AND COPIES SHALL BE MADE FOR USE DURING THE ACTUAL INSPECTIONS MAINTAIN A FILE WITH COPIES OF ALL INSPECTIONS AND MAINTENANCE RECORDS ALONG WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS Hardware Inspect for loose or missing hardware. Tighten all loose hardware and replace all missing hardware. Block off access to equipment if necessary. Plastic Components Inspect for any sharp edges or deformities. Minor deformities and sharp edges can be repaired using a utility knife. Block off access until repairs are made. Contact distributor for replacement parts. Welds Finish Inspect all welds for cracks. If a crack is found block access to the playground and contact your distributor for replacement parts immediately. Inspect all metal components for coating damage. If powder coating needs to be repaired sand surface and mask off area. Coat with primer and once the primer has dried paint with color matching touch up paint. Contact distributor of color matching paint. Contact Distributor for Thermoplastic repair kit. Footings Inspect all footings to ensure equipment is secure. You must block access to prevent access until repair is made. Replacement Parts Reference the parts list on page 2 of the instruction set for this component to identify the part/s correctly.
