6 Pg. 5 Surtec Solvent Based Lacquer Seals Surtec CL-631 Ultra Low VOC Concrete and Masonry Acrylic Lacquer Seal CL-631 is a low-voc waterproofing acrylic lacquer designed to permanently seal concrete and masonry surfaces. Treatment with CL-631 provides a non-yellowing high gloss finish which will protect the surface from water, dust, stains, and dirt. CL-631 may be used on new and old indoor and outdoor surfaces. CL-631 is specially formulated with a proper balance of carrier solvents to create a slower evaporation rate compared to typical low VOC solvent-based acrylic sealers - CL-631 offers better flow and leveling and more work time than its low VOC counterparts. 7 Pg. 6 Surtec Solvent Based Lacquer Seals Surtec CL-622 Concrete and Masonry Waterproofing Treatment CL-622 is a waterproofing acrylic lacquer designed to permanently seal concrete and masonry surfaces. Treatment with CL-622 provides a non-yellowing high gloss finish which will protect the surface from water, dust, stains, and dirt. CL- 622 may be used on new and old indoor and outdoor surfaces. The carrier solvents used in CL-622 are balanced to create a low viscosity, deep penetrating and quick drying sealer that is ideal for low build roller and pump-up spray and back-roll applications. CL-622 provides high gloss color enhancement for stained, integrally colored and unstained concrete and cementitious surfaces. Due to high flammability, CL-622 is not recommended for airless or HVLP spray application. CL-622 conforms to most CA and OTC VOC regulations. 9 Pg.. 8 Surtec Water Based Sealers SURTEC AQUAPRO 100 Low VOC Concrete and Masonry Acrylic Sealer AQUAPRO 100 is a low VOC waterborne acrylic sealer with excellent durability as well as oil, water and soil resistance. For all areas requiring the highest water resistance, AQUAPRO 100 will not blush from standing water and features a low temperature cure requirement (40 F min). AQUAPRO 100 may be used as a seal or topcoat for indoor and outdoor masonry surfaces, such as concrete, terrazzo and stone tile. It is suitable for both interior and exterior use, and will not yellow, haze or flake. By sealing the concrete, STONE SEAL provides excellent adhesion, and protects topical seals from the harsh alkalinity of the concrete. STONE SEAL may also be used as a seal over other masonry or ceramic tile surfaces, providing excellent adhesion to these surfaces where other sealers often fail. 14 Pg. 13 Surtec Impregnating Sealers SURTEC MVR Moisture Vapor Retardant for Concrete MVR is a waterborne impregnating sealer designed to reduce moisture vapor transmission in cementitious substrates. MVR crystallizes beneath the surface becoming an integral part of the concrete, thereby forming a barrier to moisture vapor and retarding the transmission of calcium salts which can form efflorescence at the surface. MVR should be incorporated into the preparation of concrete for sealing with topical sealers when the potential for a high vapor transmission rate in the concrete has been measured or is expected. (depending on porosity of surface) AC AC AC gal. pail SURTEC TEC SEAL Masonry, Stone, Grout and Ceramic Tile Waterborne Penetrating Sealer & Impregnator TEC SEAL is specially formulated to protect and seal concrete, masonry, terrazzo, limestone, marble, granite, stucco, ceramic tile, grout, sandstone, and other stone and masonry surfaces. Not a conventional latex sealer, but an impregnating sealer that protects from the interior of the stone and masonry, repelling soils, liquids and oils that can stain or discolor or stain. Preserves the natural appearance while protecting from within the pores of the substrate. Traditional seals and finishes change the appearance of the stone, darkening or adding gloss to the surface; TEC SEAL provides an invisible protective barrier. Preserves the natural slip resistance-in many cases slip resistance underfoot will be improved, thereby improving safety. 15 Surtec Impregnating Sealers Pg. 14 SURTEC HDI High Density Impregnator Stone Floor and Masonry Penetrating Sealer HDI is a solvent emulsion based water soluble penetrating seal that internally seals masonry surfaces including concrete, terrazzo, stone, ceramic tile, grout, marble, granite slate, etc. HDI combines the durability of a solvent based impregnator with the ease of use and clean up of a water based seal. By protecting the surface from within, HDI provides an invisible barrier, offering the following advantages over traditional topical seals: HDI will not change the appearance of the surface, preserving the natural look of the stone without adding gloss or darkening the substrate. HDI will preserve the natural slip resistance of the stone even when wet. Traditional surface sealers will become slippery when wet. HDI acts as an effective barrier to staining from soils, food and beverage spills, urine, oils, greases, and many other sources of stains. This barrier allows the substrate to dry much quicker than if left bare. Properly installed HDI leaves no material on the surface. All of the HDI is absorbed and chemically reacts to lock itself into the pores of the stone. Although HDI prevents liquids from staining the substrate, HDI will not alter the vapor permeability of the substrate, allowing stone surfaces to breathe naturally. Coverage = sq. ft./gal. The balanced formula is designed for fast, complete removal of polymer floor finishes with low foaming and easy rinsing. Typical dilution 1:8. Floors stripped with conventional strippers typically become discolored and damaged. Due to its formulation UNIVERSAL STRIPPER is also a non-hazardous stripper for shipping purposes. 22 Pg. 21 Surtec Cleaners SURTEC NC-125 Neutral ph Cleaner Concentrate NC-125 will clean sealed and polished floors without affecting the coating when used according to directions. NC-125 will rinse easily without foaming. NC-125 may be used on all types of painted surfaces that are not affected by water. AC AC AC SURTEC LF-150 Low Foam Heavy Duty Cleaner Concentrate LF-150 is a low-foaming heavy duty water based cleaning concentrate. It may be diluted to accomplish many specific cleaning requirements, especially where foam control is required. Because of its built-in water softeners, LF-150 mixes quickly in hot or cold, hard or soft water. 23 Pg. 22 Surtec Etching Agents SURTEC SUPER ETCH Ready-to-use Concrete Etchant Formulated with proprietary organic acids, SUPER ETCH is designed for efficient etching of concrete without the harmful, noxious odors associated with muriatic (hydrochloric) acid or whitish residue associated with phosphoric acid based etchants. Ready-to-use, SUPER ETCH may be used on concrete and other cementitious surfaces to provide a light etch in preparation for sealing hard troweled concrete with single component waterborne and solventborne concrete sealers. SUPER ETCH, when properly used according to directions, will not interfere with acid or other chemical staining techniques. SUPER ETCH may also be used for cement laitance and efflorescence removal. SUPER ETCH is readily biodegradable, non-corrosive to the skin and most metals (except for aluminum) and forms water soluble salts for easy rinsability.
