4 XL EDGE SPACER BY CARDINAL GLASS EXCEEDS INDUSTRY STANDARDS FOR SEAL DURABILITY BY 4 TIMES OR MORE XL Edge glazing in the Synergy window is based on a rugged polyisobutylene/silicone dual sealed insulating glass unit. This construction delivers the best durability available today. In the rigorous P-1 test, insulating glass units are subjected to worst case, real world conditions: 140 F, 100% humidity and constant UV exposure. Most insulating glass units fail this test in between eight and twenty-two weeks. XL Edge insulating glass units passed 80 weeks of testing, and never failed! The proof is in the field. Lifetime Warranty: Effective 1/1/2018 Lastech LLC ( Lastech ) guarantees to the original consumer purchaser of Lastech manufactured windows and doors (Products) installed in a residential, owner occupied dwelling, a Lifetime Warranty during which Lastech will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace any Products that are found to be defective in materials or workmanship. Lastech will provide, under warranty, labor and materials to replace defects in Products that occur from component failure. Lastech shall not be responsible for any costs incurred in installation of a window or door unit into its rough opening. If Lastech determines that repair of window/door or replacement of components is not possible, not practical or cannot be made in a timely fashion, then Lastech will refund the original purchase price. Lastech will provide materials and labor to replace defective Lastech fabricated insulated glass units (IGU) installed in Lastech vinyl windows. Defects are defined as; IGU seal failure, dusting, moisture or misting between glass panes of an IGU. Condensation on the exterior surfaces of the IGU is related to excessive humidity levels and is not a defect. Painted surface finishes are covered under this warranty for 15 years and will be free from manufacturing defects resulting in significant peeling, blistering, pitting or flaking under normal use and conditions. If a Lastech service tech discovers a significant manufacturing defect, Lastech shall at its sole discretion repair the finish or supply replacement materials for the window with defective finish or refund the purchase price paid to Lastech. Normal paint fading may occur due to aging, sun exposure, elements, etc. Transferability: The warranty is transferable and is effective for 10 years from the original purchase date to the second homeowner by filling out the warranty transfer card below and returning to Lastech within 30 days of the property transfer. Exclusions: Lastech shall have no liability under this warranty for the following: Normal weathering which may cause Product surfaces to gradually chalk, darken or fade. Vinyl discoloration due to aging, normal wear and tear (e.g., operation hardware), natural aging (e.g., inert gas dissipation), and human negligence are not covered under this warranty. Breakage or damage to the Product caused by improper storage, handling, vandalism, misuse, abuse, acts of nature. (e.g. fire, tornado, earthquake, flooding, etc), structural movement or settling. Improper or poor installation of Product. Slight imperfections/distortions in glass that don t impair structural integrity. Note: Wavy distortions or color differences caused by interlayer of laminated glass or heat strengthening are not defects. Warping/melting damage to Product vinyl, glass, screens and any other component caused by extreme heat or heat absorption. (such as films, storm windows, storage in steel trailers, direct exposure to heat/fire, or other uncontrolled containers). Products built beyond factory size limitations or special configurations per customer request. Use of customer applied films, petroleum based/corrosive solvents or customer applied exterior finishes to Product. Hardware function in highly corrosive environments such as Hawaii, (within two miles of the ocean or other salt water body) is not covered. Limitations: Except for the express warranty contained herein, Lastech extends no other warranties, except when required by law, and Lastech expressly disclaims any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose or use. In no event shall Lastech be liable for incidental, indirect, special or consequential damages of any sort or kind. The limit of liability is the original purchase price of the Product. Lastech must be paid in full for the Product in order for the warranty to be in effect.
