Heat Welded Seams Heat Welded Seams: Prevents subfloor damage and expensive repairs. AltroSan Bacteriostat: Incorporated into the flooring to give the surface excellent antibacterial protection. Detailing: Altro technicians provide consultation on the best techniques for detailing corners, wheel arches, steps etc. Class A Fire Rated Fire Resistant: Complies with the most stringent ratings available for fire resistance and low toxicity. SLIP RESISTANCE Altro safety flooring consists of a unique, patented construction, with diamond hard silicon carbide in the surface to ensure a slip resistant, durable, and easy to clean floor. The pressure created by walking over safety flooring causes the aggregates in the flooring to push up and rub against the shoe, creating friction (see diagram right). Because of this, Altro safety flooring remains slip resistant even when it is wet.

We provide an unlimited array of custom sizes, shapes and pre-assembled materials available to meet your specifications. We can pre-weld kits for a simple, perfect installation every time. Our fabrication team produces turn-key kits to your exact specifications. The pre-made kits make it much easier for you to install the flooring. One example of our commitment to the environment is in our flooring production; We have never used known hazardous heavy metals and carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic to reproduction (CMR) compounds. We do not use phthalates in any of our rail flooring. We are the first manufacturer with the capability to recycle safety flooring in house. Together with other industry partners, we have established Recofloor, the world s first take back program for recycling used safety flooring. BIO-BASED ALTERNATIVES We have removed all the phthalates from our safety flooring range! Phthalates, a common additive in most plastics allow the material to be flexible and useful for applications such as floor and wall coverings. Recently, phthalates have come under some scrutiny as being possibly dangerous to public health. Altro has eliminated phthalates from our entire safety flooring range and have replaced them with a renewable, bio-based alternative.

The low-weight construction makes it ideal for installation in small or awkward spaces where product flexibility is key and it can also contribute to long-term fuel savings. The inclusion of silicon carbide affords long-term durability, minimizing repair and replacement costs. For areas of intense traffic, the 2.5 mm option provides excellent durability and resilience. The fleece backing facilitates bonding and the whole floor may be welded to create a tankable flooring system with impervious jointing which protects the subfloor.
