SUPPLEMENTARY SPECIFICATIONS 01025S MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT 4) Amend clause 3.0 in Addendum No. 2 as follows: Delete the sentence: Measurement shall be based on the length of storm sewer exposed and replaced. And replace with: This item includes work to regrade storm sewers for manhole to manhole sections. Work for regrading of point sags will be assessed separately and shall be paid on force account rates. 5) Add clause 4.0 as follows: mm clear crush gravel This optional item is to replace the Type 1 bedding material with clear crush gravel to bed the pipe as directed by the Contract Administrator. The rate shall be an extra over the Type 1 bedding allowed for in the Tender. Page 1 of 2

3 02721S STORM SEWERS 6) Add the following to clause 1.6.2: Contractor to supply and install flexible couplings (Fernco Large Diameter Coupling (LDC) c/w shear band or approved equivalent) to prevent differential settlement between the manhole and the storm sewers. Two couplings will be required for all manhole connections. Couplings shall be installed within 1 and 3 s (respectively) from the outside of the manhole. The Contractor shall also ensure the couplings are adequately sealed to the corrugated storm sewers through any modifications to the pipe as necessary. Attach this Addendum to the Contract Documents.
