4 Introduction Platform is the essential solution you ve relied on for years; a timeless texture that has travelled from the traditional classy interiors to their funky new-age counterparts. It s the simplicity of the pattern and the palette that makes Platform so useable and versatile. We are now launching two Platform co-ordinates - Main Line and Sidetrack - to work specifically with this all-time favourite. Keeping the fundamentals of Platform intact, Sidetrack introduces three distinctly placed colour accents while Main Line blends those same accents with a more subtle touch. With a shared palette and common construction, these co-ordinates offer a selection of colour options on top of the simplicity and timelessness of Platform. 6 Positioning This product suite provides high design and performance, with added colour options at the same economical and aggressive price point of Platform. Priced alongside the likes of F!T, Suits-U and Stitched Up, the 16oz Platform, Main Line and Sidetrack present an aesthetic much more luxurious than its weight would suggest. The unique quality of Platform lies in a special multi-coloured yarn that adds a pop of colour to its neutral-based design. What makes this collection even more valuable now is its ability to offer stripe accent options in two intensities provided by Main Line and Sidetrack. This flexibility in colour is ideal for creating walkways, delineating open plan office areas and supporting creative nesting concepts in interiors. The ability to keep one main colour-base and allowing the option of accent colours and its intensities allows designers to be creative whilst maintaining simplicity. 7 Pattern and Texture Essentially linear products, Platform, Main Line and Sidetrack all comprise the same base pattern. They are all 100% Loop products, giving them that plush, complete look. All three products have a generally monolithic look to them small differences in pile heights and multi-coloured yarn sitting in regular thread intervals all add contrast and visual depth to the simple carpet design. Colours Platform contains the base colours for all three products. Main Line and Sidetrack comprise pre-chosen colour accents that work cleverly with the Platform base colours. Main Line is a subtle mix of these accents while Sidetrack features bold versions of these colour splashes. Colours are named for easy reference for example, the base colour Hemlock from Platform is named with a suffix - /Line or /Track to signify the Main Line and Sidetrack versions respectively. On top of these pre-determined accents, you may also contact our design team to help you select custom colours from our yarn database to fit your customers needs. 21 Fit For Purpose Contract Platform, Main Line and Sidetrack are heavy contract products. Their construction is tight, dense and suits most commercial applications. Colour The colour combinations between the yarns are great for soil hiding except for the light base colours Bisque and Cornsilk, across the three products. Installation Brick and Quarter-turn are recommended for all three products. Mix and Match When mixing the three patterns together you may notice a slight colour difference in the overall base colour or the pattern texture becoming less pronounced in the accent pattern. This is actually an optical illusion where the stronger accent colours visually hide the pattern and subtly change the overall colour hue. It is most noticeable in installations where a single accent tile is installed in a larger area of the base Platform colour. Where you are mixing patterns, it is a good idea to arrange a small mockup first. Other Useful Information Availability Platform, Main Line and Sidetrack are available under our standard MTO service levels (150m 2 to 2000m 2, 3 weeks ex-factory). Samples A sample folder has been designed to present all three products Platform, Main Line and Sidetrack, and how they work together. Additional Materials In addition to this launch document, we also have a Platform, Main Line & Sidetrack sales presentation in PowerPoint and Keynote (compatible with the ipad). Comparison with US Materials Please take note that the Asia-Pacific samples are presented differently from the US folders. While the US version groups the same base colour swatches of each product together, our samples present each product distinctively (on three separate folder panels). We believe this will help identify colours better within each product.
