The bidder shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided in the Form of Bid. 1) As provided in Addendum 5, Schedule of Prices Item /5 Soil Type S1 (Imported Soil/Pit Run) was modified as follows: Unit: Changed to cubic metre Quantity: Changed to 8,000 Units for Aggregate quantities (Type A1, A2, and A3 under schedule of Prices /1, /2, /3 respectively) remain unchanged as it is anticipated that the materials will need to be processed and therefore sourced from a location with a scale. Through Change Order process and or negotiation period, the unit for all aggregates may be changed to cubic metre, if requested and justified by the CONTRACTOR and if it provides the best value (i.e., cost savings) to the OWNER. The Change Order shall not increase the Total Contract Price. 2) As provided in Addendum 2, the quantity for Schedule of Prices Item /2 should be changed from 12 to 3. 7 and one gate is to be installed on the access road west of the work compound as shown on Drawing C-06. 3) A revised Schedule of Prices is attached. Weeks Construction Ground Fix Remediation Bunrich Trucking Dexter Construction Dear Bidder: Re: Addendum No. 6 Tender No. NSLAND93 In accordance with Ib.06 of the Instructions to Bidders, the bid documents for the above-noted Project, as amended by Addendum 1 through 5, is further amended as specified below. The bidder shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided in the Form of Bid. 1) Section Paragraph 2.1. A Geotextile Type G1. Paragraph 1. Delete Mirafi S800 and replace with Mirafi S1600 Paragraph 2. Delete in its entirety. 2) Section Paragraph 3.1 and 3.2: Clarification The surface must be free of exposed rocks and approved in writing by the ENGINEER and Manufacturer prior to installation. While Soil Type S1 allows for rocks, up to 150 mm, the CONTRACTOR shall select material from the S1 that meets the manufacture s installation requirements. 3) Section Paragraph 2.3.B Aggregate Type A3. Grading: 20 mm minimum to 50 mm maximum subangular clear stone, for use in treatment pad as drainage material. 4) Section Paragraph 1.11 CONTRACT TIMES Delete in its entirety and replace with the following: A. Perform the Works according to the following Contract Times: 1. The Works at the Site shall be commenced within 7 days after the date of the Notice to Proceed. 2. Stage 1 Works shall be substantially performed by August 27, Stage 1 Works shall be fully completed and ready for final payment by September 3, Stage 2 Works shall be substantially performed by October 1, Stage 2 Works shall be fully completed and ready for final payment by October 8, ) The closing date for the tender is extended to July 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM Atlantic time. 6) Detail G, Drawing C-08 The Geotextile Type G1 anchor is to be installed directly over the geomembrane in a common trench for the full length of the anchor trench. Weeks Construction Ground Fix Remediation Bunrich Trucking Dexter Construction Dear Bidder: Re: Addendum No. 5 Tender No. NSLAND93 In accordance with Ib.06 of the Instructions to Bidders, the bid documents for the above-noted Project, as amended by Addendum 1 through 4, is further amended as specified below. The bidder shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided in the Form of Bid. 1) Question: Will electrical conduit need an electrical inspection? Response: No, unless required by regulations. 2) Question: Where is surplus topsoil and stumps to be stockpiled; and will the stockpile area need to be prepared for stockpiling? Response: There are two potential areas identified for stockpiling. The first is the grassed area near the twin settling basins and plant main building, and the second area is within or adjacent to the treatment compound. The area near the treatment compound would need to be graded prior to use. Both areas would require stockpile management activities including, but not limited, to erosion control measures. 3) Question: Is a full time Health and Safety Officer (HSO) required? Response: Yes. 15 4) Question: Can the unit for Schedule of Prices Item /5 be changed to cubic metre as it is likely that material will be obtained locally from a source where a scale is not available? Response: Yes. See revised Schedule of Prices. Testing of imported material that is not sourced from a regulated facility will need to undergo contaminant testing at the CONTRACTOR expense to confirm that the material in not impacted. CONTRACTOR should assume one test is required from each source is required. Testing shall include all parameters identified in the Section Table 2. 5) Question: There is a concern regarding the size of the material to be installed above and below the liner system? Response: This will be responded to by 4 PM on July 10, 2018 through Addendum 6. 6) No additional questions will be accepted. Clarification: As per Instructions to Bidder - 1.1B the Tender Submissions are to be forwarded to 45 Wabana Court, Sydney Nova Scotia, B1P 0B9 and not Department of Internal Services in Halifax found on the Form of Bid. 2. Closing Date Extended: Due to a technical issue on the Nova Tenders website some bidders were not aware of the requirement for the June 19, 2018 mandatory bidders meeting. A second bidders meeting is scheduled for Thursday July 5, 2018 at the Boat Harbour Effluent Treatment Facility at 10am. It is a mandatory requirement that bidders attend one of the two bidders meetings. Bidders who attended the first meeting are not required to attend the July 5, 2018 meeting. The closing date for the tender is extended to July 12, 2018 at 2:00pm Atlantic Time.

ARCP Dear Bidder: Re: Addendum No. 3 Tender No. NSLAND93 In accordance with Ib.06 of the Instructions to Bidders, the bid documents for the above-noted Project, as amended by Addendum 1 and 2, is further amended as specified below. The bidder shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided in the Form of Bid. 1) Question: Can you please provide a section detail showing the road build up and pipe bedding arrangement, approximately as per the red line on the attached sketch?. Response: The 6.0 m wide access road to the treatment pad as shown on Drawing C-03 shall be constructed using 150 mm Aggregate Type A1, underlaid by 300 mm aggregate Type A2, and approved subgrade in accordance with Detail D Typical Laydown Area Section on Drawing C-08. The HDPE pipe shall be buried a minimum of 1.5 m below the finished grade where under the access road, transitioning to 0.5 m above existing grade where it exits the berms and the access road for future connection by others. The HDPE pipe shall have 300 mm Aggregate Type A1 bedding and cover all around the pipe. ARCP Dear Bidder: Re: Addendum No. 2 Tender No. NSLAND93 In accordance with Ib.06 of the Instructions to Bidders, the bid documents for the above-noted Project, as amended by Addendum 1, is further amended as specified below. The bidder shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided in the Form of Bid. 1) Question: Drawing C-05 indicates the 250 mm HDPE Header Piping is to be perforated. Please confirm. Response: The header is to be perforated where it is installed between the laterals (i.e., where it is inside the HDPE liner system). Beyond the HDPE boot on the header pipe, between the liner and the manhole the header pipe will be solid. For Clarity: Detail B on Drawing C-05, is revised as follows: a. Delete note: "250 mm HDPE DR17 Perforated Header Pipe" and replace with "250 mm HDPE DR17 Header Pipe. Perforated between laterals, and solid between last lateral and manhole. Perforations as per Detail C - Typical Sub Drain Pipe Detail". 2) Question: The specifications indicate all piping (including electrical conduit) is to be video inspected. Please confirm. Form of Bid: The Schedule of Prices on Pages FB-17 and FB-18 of the Form of Bid are deleted and replaced with the revised Form of Bid attached. Except as modified by this Addendum, the bidding documents previously issued shall remain unchanged. The following clarifications were provided at the pre-bid meeting held on June 19, 2018 at 2:30 PM: Stumps are to be stockpiled on Site for future use by Others. The stockpile location will be determined by ENGINEER in conjunction with BHETF Operator in the field. The depth of water in Cove 1 is estimated to range from 0.85 to 2.5 m. Attempts to lower the water level in Boat Harbour by up to 0.5m are ongoing.
