4 EUSDR Priority Area 06 Task Forces - Task Force were initiated and dedicated to one specific issue. - Task Forces comprise actors from Civil Society (NGOs, Stakeholders), Scientific Community and Public Authorities / Policy Level. - Task Forces are the implementation level of PA 06 and formally linked to governance of PA 06 / EUSDR. - Task Force chairs are Observers of the PA 06 Steering Group.

6 EUSDR Priority Area 06 Targets - Target 01: By 2020 strengthen the work on halting the deterioration in the status of all species and habitats covered by EU nature legislation in order to achieve a significant and measurable improvement, adapted to the special needs of the respective species and habitats in the Danube Region. - Target 02: Enhance the work on establishing green infrastructure and the process of restoration of at least 15% of degraded ecosystems, including soil, in order to maintain and enhance ecosystems and their services by 2020 in the Danube Region and to improve air quality. - Target 03: Encourage achieving significant progress in identification and prioritization of Invasive Alien Species and their pathways in order to control or eradicate priority species, to manage pathways and to prevent the introduction and establishment of new Invasive Alien Species in the Danube Region by Target 04: Continue the ongoing work and efforts to secure viable populations of Danube sturgeon species and other indigenous fish species by 2020.

8 EUSDR PA 06 - Current Projects and Activities Study on Ecological Connectivity to identify needs for action and concrete proposals for projects to increase the understanding of the role of ecological connectivity along the Danube in all habitats (air, water, land). Study on Ecosystem Services: Inventory of ESS in the EU and the EUSDR States; Systematics and available data for the evaluation of ecosystem services and their economic and social benefits for humans, differentiated according to suitable sub-ecosystems (e.g: forests, river and floodplains, cultural landscape, etc.)
