2 The best sustainable forest management practices to enhance the pleasure and value of your land.

3 Best practices yield best results. We see it in the woodlands we manage, the habitats we preserve, the trails we enhance, and in every acre of land we touch. At FutureWood, we leave the land better than we found it. A lot better. Which is why private landowners and government agencies throughout the great Northwoods of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan turn to us when they need the best in sustainable land management: Tree harvesting Reforestation Habitat preservation Trail improvement Conservation planning Economic development In forestry, best-management practices are sometimes voluntary. At FutureWood, they re just the beginning of our commitment to the land we help manage. We follow Forest Stewardship Council standards. We adhere to the American Forest Foundation guidelines. And we not only hold a Sustainable Forestry Initiative certification, we serve on the SFI implementation committee in our home state of Wisconsin. Whether we re working with a landowner to bring back pioneer species or thinning a hardwood forest to create a stand of healthy, well-spaced trees, we always work in full compliance with all voluntary rules, state guidelines, and federal regulations. There are some 70 million acres of forested land in North America. FutureWood s best practices will take the best care of yours.

5 Get the most from your land now and for generations to come. Like all FutureWood customers, when we look at a forest or woodland, we see more than trees. We see wildlife, scenic beauty, economic value, and an incredibly complex arboreal forest ecosystem. That s why proper land management begins with well-understood and clearly defined goals. And that s why we design harvesting and management programs to work in harmony with both the customer s desires and the needs of the environment. Reforestation plan? Check. Erosion control? Check. Habitat enhancement? Check. Whatever your goals more recreational opportunities, enhanced aesthetics, greater income potential FutureWood s professional and responsible management practices can help you get the most from your land while you preserve it for future generations. Our commitment to forestry s highest standards The Sustainable Forestry Initiative sets the bar high when it comes to land management. Since 1994, the Initiative has promoted the perpetual growing and harvesting of trees in ways that are compatible with the protection of wildlife, plants, soil, and water. We believe strongly in the Initiative s work and we re proud to participate in its efforts to improve land management through the practice of sustainable forestry. FutureWood achieved its Sustainable Forestry Initiative certification through a rigorous third-party audit of our land management practices, procurement program, and multi-site chain-of-custody program all demonstrating FutureWood s commitment to the principles and practices of sustainable forestry.
