This prcess pertains t an applicatin t Injure and/r Destry Tree(s) and/r Trees, fr Frestry Management, within a Tree Prtectin Area as defined by Schedule D f the By-law, as may be amended frm time t time. 2. There are different fees fr each type f applicatin. 2 After Submissin Upn receipt, yur applicatin will be reviewed and yu will be cntacted by City staff. By submitting this applicatin, the City will deem yu t have cnsented t a member f City staff visiting the prperty between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Mnday - Saturday) t inspect the Tree(s), whether yu are present r nt. Every effrt will be made t cnduct the visit at a mutually cnvenient time. T assist staff, it wuld be helpful if yu culd attach clured flagging tape r a piece f material - either arund the trunk r arund a branch - at a visible height t each Tree subject t this applicatin. Please d nt mark the Tree in any way which culd cause injury, such as slashing bark frm the Tree. Right t Appeal The Applicant has the right t appeal and request a Hearing with a Hearings Officer if the Municipality fails t make a decisin n an applicatin within 60 days after a cmplete applicatin is received by the City Planner. A request by an Applicant fr a Hearing shall be made in writing and filed with the City Clerk. The request shall cnsist f a ntice f appeal and must cmply with the requirements set ut in Schedule 1 f the City s Hearings Officer By-law A

An inventry f all Trees that have a trunk diameter f 10cm r mre, measured 1.4m abve the Natural Grund Level, identifying the lcatin, size, species and health f each such Tree and identifying thse Trees that are identified fr Injury r Destructin; this inventry is t be submitted in electrnic frm, such that the data can be linked using the City s gegraphic infrmatin system; Tree marking f all Trees t be Injured r Destryed, prepared by an accredited Tree marker; The lcatin f existing r prpsed lgging rads and skid trails; The landing r lading area fr sawlgs as they are being harvested; Any r all f stand height, structural r age class range, density, species cmpsitin, lgging tally, basal area and vlume; A Silvicultural Prescriptin r Frest Management Plan as defined by this By-law, prepared by a Qualified Persn; A descriptin f hw the Trees are t be remved frm the Site, the ptential impact n natural heritage features and areas, and an explanatin f hw these impacts are t be mitigated; A descriptin f any ff-site Tree planting that may be prpsed t mitigate Tree canpy lss as a result f the prpsed Tree Injury f Destructin and/r any funds that may be prvided t the City fr such ff-site Tree planting. (Sectin B Tree Prtectin By-law C.P ) A reprt prepared by a Qualified Persn suitable t evaluate the nature and extent f the prpsed Tree Injury and/r Destructin that evaluates the health f the Tree r Trees and the implicatins f the prpsed Injury and/ r Destructin as it relates t the fllwing, as applicable: Site tpgraphy (e.g. ravines, slpes, cnturs, etc.); Hydrlgical functins (e.g. streams, pnds, wetlands, recharge areas, etc.); Sensitive envirnmental features r areas (e.g. riparian znes, seepage areas, amphibian breeding pnds, wetlands, steep r unstable slpes, significant wildlife habitat, stick nests, migrating r breeding birds, patches f cnifer, rare species r species f cnservatin cncern, etc.); The fld plain and Cnservatin Authrity fill regulatin lines; and Sustainability f the Trees that are prpsed t remain.
