3 FOREST LAND DISTRIBUTION BY OWNERSHIP Forest land area by ownership ,5% 49,8% 39,7% Forests of State importance Private forests State forests reserved for restitution Small scale private forests (3.4 ha average holding, about 248 thousand owners). Land reform in nearly 20 years still not completed no economic activities in state forests reserved for restitution. Until October of 2018 all forests reserved for restitution should be transferred to state forest enterprises (suitable for administration) or sold in auctions (the rest ones). State forest enterprises manage 1046 thousand ha of forest land area. It comprises 96 % of all forests of state importance (other managers: administrations of municipalities, military, etc.).
