4 General description and management. SU A small block of open and scrubby ground, situated between the north-western edge of Cemetery Lake and the adjacent tree line. Site largely unmanaged apart from some recent mowing of the tracks. Dead wood present. Communities. (4.1). Gorse scrub. (IHS SC11) Canopy :- Dense Gorse. To 4 metres, 70%-100%. (4.2). [MG6]: Cynosurus cristatus - Lolium perenne grassland. (IHS G10.GM23) egularly mown amenity grassland. (4.3). Transitional community. Shrub layer :- Locally abundant Gorse, Broom, ak sp, owan, Turkey ak and Horse Chestnut metres. Flora :- Creeping Bent (/), Common Bent (FLA), Bramble (ALD), Pill Sedge (), Heath Bedstraw (/), Sweet Vernal-grass (), Yorkshire-fog (), Sheep s-sorrel (LF), Nettle, (), agwort (), Thistle sp (), Bittersweet (), Ling (), Tormentil () and Cat s-ear ().
