Consequently most existing trees will be lost due to the proposed construction. However, all trees on the adjacent City and private properties can retained as they are far enough away from construction. one of the trees which are to be removed are of species or sizes which would justify them being transplanted out of the way prior to the start of construction. SPCS, SZ, CD D SUS able below details the species, condition, size (diameter) and status of the trees on the subject and adjacent City and private properties. ach tree is referenced by the numbers plotted on the accompanying tree plan. able. ree o. PSV D PC MSUS Preservation and protection measures intended to mitigate damage during construction will be applied for the trees to be retained. he following measures are required by the City of ttawa to ensure tree survival during construction:. rect a fence at the critical root zone (CZ ) of trees; 2. Do not place any material or equipment within the CZ of the tree; 3. Do not attach any signs, notices or posters to any tree; 4. Do not raise or lower the existing grade within the CZ without approval; 5. unnel or bore when digging within the CZ of a tree; 6. Do not damage the root system, trunk or branches of any tree; 7. nsure that exhaust fumes from all equipment are directed towards any tree's canopy. he critical root zone (CZ) is established as being 0 centimetres from the trunk of a tree for every centimetre of trunk Diameter at breast height (DH). he CZ is calculated as DH x 0 cm.
