4 International Office UCTS UMAP Credit Transfer System developed to facilitate greater mobility between UMAP countries/territories and other region ACTS ASEAN Credit Transfer System developed to facilitate mobility among AUN (ASEAN University Network) member universities and its partners (ASEAN +) Credit Transfer System

5 UCTS Features: Formal study for a minimum of one and a maximum of two semesters Credit for study undertaken while on exchange is to be accepted by home university Applicable for both undergraduate and postgraduate program Tuition fee should be waived by host university Grading System: Refer to home and host grading system Participating Universities: UMAP member universities ASEAN International Mobility Program

6 UCTS History: Initiated in 1991 UMAP International Secretariat officially started in April 1998 at University of Tokyo, now in Fu Jen Catholic University, Taiwan. UMAP scholarships program started in 2002 Principles: Credit conversion Participating countries: Asia and the Pacific countries (Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam, Republic of Fiji, Hong Kong, Japan, Republic of Korea, Macau, Malaysia, United Mexican States, Mongolia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Republic of The Philippines, La Reunion, Taiwan, Thailand, Socialist Republic of Vietnam)

7 ACTS Features: Student centered system, based on students workload (learning outcomes) Applicable for both undergraduate and postgraduate program Duration of the program is 1 up to maximum 2 semesters or shorter period Do not require any modification of existing credit system Non-complicated grade conversion from host to home university On-line system Grading System: ACTS Grading Scale

8 ACTS Participating Universities: AUN Member Universities (30 leading universities in 10 ASEAN Countries) AUN Partner Universities (Re-Inventing Japan Project member Universities) History: Proposed in December 2008 and established in March 2009 Universitas Indonesia appointed as the AUN-ACTS Secretariat Pilot project implementation in July 2011 Principles: No credit conversion
